There is something wrong with Michael Myers. Always and forever, in every story. But what if in this tale he wasn’t just a blank and remorseless killing machine? Something stranger than that. something more.
One fateful Halloween night in 1963 a disturbance was reported at the Myers household. Now the neighborhood was well accustomed to loud arguments and the occasional screaming matches from the house next door but there was something different about this time. This time the same familiar voices seemed to be crying rather than yelling, wailing even.
When the police arrived to perform a wellness check, or just tell them to shut up depending on what they found, they were surprised to see Little Michael Myers answer the door. He was still dressed as a clown for trick-or-treating and rocking his baby sister, Lori, in his arms. When they asked where the boy's parents were he was quiet at first, all that could get out of him was “the babies had been bad.” And those were the last words Michael ever said to anyone again.
When they eventually convinced him to let them inside the officers found quite the bizarre sight waiting for them. In two opposite corners of the living room stood Mr and Mrs Myers with their noses planted in their respective corners, stripped naked save for a pair of oversized diapers, both soiled. Mrs Myers discolored yellow and fading so heavily that the top of her clearly reddened bottom was visible. And Mr Meyers Huggies were clearly full in the seat to say the least. The only sounds between the two were sniffles and hiccuping half-sobs. Beyond that they were completely unresponsive.
CPS was of course alerted and the family was placed into protective custody until further notice. Eventually the parents as well as the agents tasked with separating Michael and Lori made a full recovery back to their mature adult selves for the most part. And with their full faculties returned to them they were able to resume custody of their daughter. Michael, however, was permanently surrendered to the care of a local institution by his parents to have his latent psychic abilities studied in a safer environment. But they didn’t care why, they just wanted to never see their son again. Just forget that night ever happened and forget Michael ever existed.
But Michael never forgot. He simply waited. Waited for the day they’d make a mistake. Waited for the day he could escape. Waited for the day he cou return to his baby sister and protect her from all the bad babies out there.
