"You are soooo cute", she continues teasing. "How old are you?"
"I'm 16," he slyly admits
"16!" She laughs, "how is a squirt like you 2 years older than me. You are soo short. Are you sure you're not 12?"
"No way is he 16," Isabel says excitedly now standing to compare her size to the boy's. "Look how he's barely as tall as me!" She pinches his cheek, "he's adorable."
The boy's face is flushed with embarrassment, but he is trys to keep his composure as He mumbles again, "Can I have your number."
"Do you really think I'll give a shrimp like you a shot?" Katie asked. This was hilarious to Katie and it seemed like as they teased it he seemed to somehow get smaller. Like, Katie was sure when he approached Isabel couldn't have been towering over him.
He tried to leave but two girls pulled him into a more isolated part of the mall so they could continue teasing and taunting him. He was getting a bit upset, but more embarrassed and nervous. He had always been a bit of a runt and was often picked on and teased, but never like this. He tried to leave but Katie stopped him as they easily over powered him and kept on teasing.
"Hey," Katie says, "Looks like he's accually getting smaller. Is he even 5 ft anymore?"
"I don't know," Isabel replies excitedly, "Maybe 4'10?"
"He is sooooo small." They keep teasing him until he's a tiny 4 ft tall. They let him leave after he seems to stop shrinking. He ran away in tears as the laughed.
"That was amazing," Izzy says,
"I know," Katie responds feeling a warmth flowing through her body, She wasn't sure what it was but it felt good and she thinks it has something to do with bullying that boy.
