That was one word to describe Alex's current situation. His head was killing him. It felt like he had been hit by a stampeding Rydhorn which honestly didn't sound so bad. Raising an arm to rub his temple the aura used was quick to realize to jump when he felt scaly finger caress his head. Snapping his eyes open the aura Pokemon jumped back in instinct getting into a fighting stance, only to find...his own body was unconscious, on the floor before him.
"What in the world?" He thought as he lifted up an arm to reach out for it. That's when he noticed it. Gone were his furry paw, instead he was greeted by a slender scaly arm with very pronounced fingers. His eyes trailed down the arm taking notice of his new form. The black scales turned to pink and purple as it reached his chest which was far bigger than before and not just because his body as a whole was taller. Looking down he was greeted with long slender legs as well as thick and firm thighs and a lengthy tail. He also found that he was now a she.
She rushed to nearby container of water, taking note of the reflection on the water's surface. The face looking back at Alex was not that of riolu and more, but rather that of the Salazzle that had nearly killed him before. She lifted a finger in disbelief to touch her face, unsure of what she was seeing. She then felt the same scaly fingers caressing her new head. It wasn't just her touch that was different but also the way she felt was now different as well.
"This is unbelieveable." She whispered. Even her voice had changed. It wasn't the same high pitched squeaky sounding voice most small Pokemon had. Now it was a deeper, more feminine and even a little huskier. She glanced back at her previous body. All Alex had wanted was to get her to stop. The original intent had been to try and mind control the Salazzle like how Mightyena had been. They never expected they'd take control of her body.
The new Salazzle's thoughts were briefly interrupted when the Riolu started coughing. At first she thought that maybe the Salazzle had ended up in her old body but that wasn't the case. Upon closer inspection she realized something, it was still poisoned. Though she no longer felt the effects now, the Riolu body was still poisoned from before.
"Crap." Alex thought. "I need to treat it now before the damage worsens." There was no telling what would happen if his unconscious body was poisoned.
"If only I had some pecha berries." Alex thought. Then as if on command, there mind was invaded with memories that weren't their own. They were images of Pecha berries in a cupboard in the house. Following these memories Alex found the cupboard with the Pecha Berries. She was about to go and feed it to his body when more memories came, the unconscious Riolu wouldn't be able to eat the Pechas, they'd choke if fed. Instead they'd need to be grounded up for consumption.
Following the memories once more, Alex managed to prepared the grounded up berries in the kitchen, knowing almost instinctively were everything was. When the berries were grounded into a sufficiently liquified stated, the Salazzle went and fed it to the unconscious Riolu. Her previous body accepted it and though she didn't know how, she knew the poison had faded. Scoping up the Riolu in her arms, the Salazzle walked to her bed room to place it on the bed while it rested. The warm sensation of the Riolu's fur did distracted her when it tickled her chest, but the Salazzle ignored it.
Now that their previous body was no longer in harm's way Alex could finally take the situation in as a whole. Alex examined their new body, running their fingers along their skin, the sensation of it all being a little overwhelming as they never felt so good, especially when they touched the area below there waist and their chest. They thought back to how had they had known about the location of everything the house, a home that wasn't there's.
A home that was...Layla's. They mused.
Wait Layla? Who was that?
Then it hit them, the Salazzle, the one they took over, that was her name. It then dawned on them just what was going on. They had been using Layla's memories subconsciously to find what they needed. It seemed like Alex didn't just have access to controlling another Pokemon's body, they could also impersonate them.
This was....exciting. The possessed Salazzle's lips curved into a mischievous smile. This kind of power was unheard of among Aura users. Sure ghost pokemon could possess others and Psychics could mind control but Riolus were fighting types. They were the ones who basically just hit things really hard. Heck Ghosts and Psychics were rather effective against them all things considered but now...Alex wasn't sure.
She opened and closed one of her claws as she tried to get a feel of new body. It didn't feel all that different, even though it ought to. Was it the memories subconsciously guiding her once more to understand how to move? Alex didn't let the thoughts bother her to much as she tried to recall the memories from before when Layla attempted to use Dragon Claw. It wasn't immediate but energy began to pulse in her palm before it elongated and reshaped around her fingers making energy claws. Using Dragon Claw, Alex took a a risk and looked at the wall behind them, pressing the claws against it, they carefully slid them down, the claws moved as if nothing was there, despite moving against concrete.
Once the deed was done, Alex stared in wonder at the claw marks they now left in the solid stone wall. This was incredible. They were no longer bound to their weaker and sicker body. With this power they could become stronger than ever. All those years of being belittled and bullied for being so weak, it was all behind them now.
"Finally." They thought. Finally they were stronger now and it all it took was....possessing another.
Alex froze as remembered what was done to acquire such power. They had stolen another pokemon's body. One second thought maybe this wasn't such a good thing they wondered.
"No, she deserved it, she was trying to kill you." Alex tried to justify to themselves. The Salazzle had been eager to kill them and from the sound of it, they weren't the first person she killed.
But she did have a reason to think he was up to no good, he pondered. That didn't mean she should have killed him, if anything she should have handed him over to the authorities, from the way she talked it sound liked she actually reveled in the idea of something happening to her, and killing him was just a way to express her disappointment.
Conflicted with what to do Alex wondered if he should leave her body or stay.
"Maybe a quick peek into her memories can help?" If she was innocent he would leave her body and probably hightail it out of there to avoid any other issues with her and the town. If she was guilty though, then perhaps Alex might stay as a Salazzle a bit longer and good use of her body.
What is she?
