From your position on the shelf you could just make out the sound of Amanda conversing with the store girl.
“Hey again Amanda! Geeze this is like your 4th time in here this month. What are you doing with all of them?”
“Hey Madyson. Yeah I know! It’s not my fault these tinies can’t last more than a few days. I was just in a fairly casual run this morning and this worthless tiny has already stopped massaging!” She picked up her right foot and tapped her black and pink running shoe toe-first into the floor a few times as she spoke. “So obviously I need a new insole that might actually last this time. Whatcha got?”
“Hmmm” Madyson hummed, glancing in your direction. “Well… we do have a pretty strong looking one that just came in this morning. And he actually volunteered to be shrunk. So maybe he’ll last? At the very least it should want to rub your feet for a little while… at least until it starts choking under them.”
“Oh interesting!” Amanda also looked your way.
You couldn’t take your eyes away from her pink and black shoe that was pounding the floor mercilessly over and over as she approached.
On the one hand, being this hottie’s new insole was exactly the kind of reason you’d asked to be shrunk in the first place. On the other hand, maybe it would be better to try to get bought up by one of these girls who might not immediately stuff you into a sweaty oven of a gym shoe.
But before you could fully gather all of your thoughts, Amanda had reached your jar, and her giant green eye was fixed on your small body. She looked you up and down then smiled. “I think this bug will do for now Mady,” she turned to address you. “So what do you think little guy? Want to come live under my feet? It’s nice and warm under my toes and I promise there’ll be plenty to eat and drink!"
