"Hey specks, did ya miss me?" Trish's voice boomed high above them. Past her boots, her form was difficult to comprehend. Clouds were pushed aside by her knees. Her boots must have covered acres and she only took a few steps. This, combined with who she knew Trish was, made Abbie quake.
"Abbie!," the booming voice pierced through their insignificant town, "this is what you were missing out on. You really shoulda taken my invitation. Anyway, your friend Connie wants to see you, so I suggest you get as far away from the town edges as possible. I'm giving you ten minutes."
Abbie couldn't think straight and didn't even put her shoes back on before she started running toward the high school, as close to the center of town.
"Sigh. Ten minutes is a real long time, I'm gettin' bored, I'll just get this over with now."
