This choice: Random Employees Were Swapping • Go Back...Chapter #6Random Employees Were Swapping by: Hellexia   "Thank GOD you're here Carls!" Liz shouted as the pair entered. Without warning, Liz ran over and locked lips with Carly for a moment, before Carly pulled back.
"What the Hell, Liz?!" Carly shouted as she rubbed her mouth with the back of her hand. "What's wrong with you?!"
Liz looked offended for a moment as she looked back and forth at Carly and Steven. "You're not..."
"No." Steven said as he blushed. "Carly and I are dating, actually."
"WHAT?!" "Liz" shouted as her jaw hung open. "Carly, you're not... God, I'm sorry."
"It's fine, Liz. Carls is an interesting nickname..." Carly said with a fake laugh. "Tell us about yourself."
"Liz" gulped. "So... Carly, my Carly, and I were... Spending the night together. And all of a sudden, I'm standing here! Which, where exactly is this?!"
"It's Wilko. It's gone under some big changes lately." Steven answered as he imagined Carly and Liz together, rolling around in bed. Naked, of course.
"Wilko?! It closed down years ago!!" "Liz" shouted.
"Wait, how old were you?" Carly asked with an eyebrow raised.
"38." "Liz" answered.
"That adds more evidence that it's different dimensions, or worlds, or something..." Carly said as she looked into Steven's eyes.
"Yeah... Well, you and Liz being... Together in this Liz's homeworld kinda solidified that." Steven said with a heavy sigh. Suddenly, Steven heard his phone vibrate. Taking it out his pocket, Steven answered it and placed it to his ear...
"Steven, thank God you answered!! I-I don't know where I am! Dear, can you-"
"Becca? Why are you calling me Dear?!" Steven interrupted, although he had a pretty good feeling why.
"De-Steven, we've been married almost 10 years. Are YOU feeling alright?" "Becca" asked in an almost motherly tone. "Are the kids with you?"
"KIDS?!"
"Dear, I'm worried..." "Becca" began before Steven got an alert that he was getting another call.
"Becca, I'll call you back. I-I'll explain everything at Wilko." Steven said before switching to the other call.
"You shitass! Answer your phone quicker!"
"Charlotte?" Steven asked as his phone speaker practically oozed venom.
"No, it's the damn tooth fairy!" Charlotte said sarcastically. "Why the Hell am I in some bathroom with your Ex?!"
"Ex?! Steven and I have been dating for MONTHS now!!" A muffled voice shouted.
"As you keep fucking saying! Steven, have you been two-timing me?!"
"Charlotte, I... Come to the main entryway of Wilko. And bring her with you, I guess." Steven said with a sigh before hanging up.
"I finally found you!" Another voice shouted, accompanied by the sound of running footsteps. "What's going on Steven?"
"I don't know why, or how, but everyone is swapping minds or something, Nicola!" Steven explained in a loud voice. "Through time, and dimensions, or something!"
"Oh..." Nicola said as she looked around. "I think... I think I've been swapped then."
"Good." Steven said sarcastically. "What's your home like then? It might help Carly's theory."
"Uh... It's a long story. But, we're in a relationship, in a way." Nicola said, looking extremely nervous.
"That's not the first time I've heard that today, actually." Steven groaned. "Just, hang around here. We're trying to explain to everyone what's going on."
A While Later
"So, no one has swapped since then?" Steven asked the rather large crowd that gathered. According to everyone's testimony, there were two groups of people: Those who swapped earlier hat morning, and those who swapped in the past hour.
"And no one knows why?" Carly asked as she stood beside Steven in front of the crowd. "What are you thinking Steven?" Carly asked under her breath.
"To be honest, I'm mostly impressed with my other versions of me..." Steven said with a grin. "You're not jealous, are you?"
"No, but take a look at those glares..." Carly whispered, pointing over to Steven's "harem". Natalie, Nicola, Tiffany, Courtney, Becca, Mona, Jade, Kiran, Jodie, and Ellie all apparently were in some form of relationship with their respective Steven. And, were giving a "Don't think about it" look at Carly. "Scary honestly..." Carly muttered.
"Question." Nicola suddenly said. "Is this... The first time anything like this has happened? To any of you."
"No." Jodie answered. "Steven had these crazy powers where I come from."
"Hmmm... Same with my Steven." Nicola muttered.
"Yeah, my Steven and I entered a weird door thing." Liz said. "And then Carly followed in, and weird spirit world stuff happened."
"There's something like that where I come from too." Allie put forward. "My Liz found a weird magical item thing."
"Mine too." Rose and Nat said at the same time.
"I had... Powers where I come from." David said with a guilty look on his face.
"Ahem." Steven cleared his throat. "As someone who's from this, universe, or dimension, or timeline. Or whatever is happening here, this is the first time anything like this has happened. That I know of."
"I can back that up." Carly said with a head nod. "And so far there's only one definite similarity with all of us, right?"
"That being, we all worked at Wilko at some point, or knew someone who worked at Wilko, right?" Steven asked. "Who's not here that fits that?"
"Oh shit! Mum!" Carly shouted as she frantically started dialing. "Mum? Are you alright? Nothing strange? Okay. Good. Just, stay safe." Carly said on the phone before hanging up.
"Andrea hasn't swapped?" Steven asked.
"No, she's fine." Carly answered with a grin.
"Good. Now let's band together and-" Steven began to say before his surroundings changed...
