Futaba got ready for guests at her door. She had her helmet ready and an escape rout for her closet secured. Now all she had to do was wait.
After half an hour she hears a knock. “Futaba-chan? It’s us. Open the door we need to talk.” She recognized the voice as Makoto Nijima’s.
“We can talk just fine from here!”
“Come on Futaba-chan you know that’s not what I mean.”
“Just tell me why you need me to open the door. If you don’t then I’m not opening!”
“She is most certainly shut in there good.” Oh god, she could hear more than one voice! Just how many are there.
“Look we can’t steal your heart if you keep trying to hide yourself like that. You need to open the door.”
“… You promise you can steal my heart if I open up.”
“Promise.”
Just then the door flung open to reveal the hacker shut in! Her head down as to not make eye contact and her pudgy hands out to accept her fate. She was a rather rotund girl with multiple fat rolls and a double chin. Her hair was a mess and she had chip crumb and residue all over her white T-shirt. “Ok, I’m out! Now steal my heart!”
The thieves were surprised by the sudden burst of confidence as well as the figure of their commissioner. “Oh no Futaba we just needed you to open the door, but don’t worry we’re able to steal your heart now. Now don’t close this door till we’re done ok?” Makoto could tell her reassurance was not going too well.
Futaba turned beet red. “Oh hahahaha…haha of course…ok.” She was just about ready to curl up die right then and there.
Now that the wall between her heart was opened all The Phantom Thieves had to do now was steal the treasure.
