In the world of monsters, dragons tend to hold an amount of sway disproportionate to their numbers. Dragons may not call all the shots, but it is safe to say that no major decision gets made in monster society without the input of dragons, if not their approval.
So it is safe to say that dragons were instrumental in getting Wyrmwood to accept humans.
The Dragon Riders of Wyrmwood was an ancient society that paired male dragons looking for female humanoid riders, with female humanoid who wanted training as riders. Riders and dragons were teamed up as freshman and graduated together as seniors. Riders and dragons invariably stayed together for a lifetime, and quite a few Fortune 500 companies had at least one dragon/rider team on their boards.
There were quite a few conditions to join the Dragon Riders of Wyrmwood, the most well known being that female applicants had to be very attractive and virgins. You met those two criteria, as well as all the others.
