You stare confusedly at the strange giant object in front of you. After a few moments of looking it up and down, you piece things together and stifle a gasp. You’re looking at an extremely oversized version of the blue kobold you just fought with! That liquid they used on you must have been a shrinking potion! You’ve heard of those things, but you never hoped to be on the receiving end of one.
It’s impossible to tell your exact size now, but you’re absolutely minuscule. Maybe you’re half an inch tall, but you can’t be sure. Kobolds are normally half the size of humans, and yet you’re utterly tiny compared to this one. They look like a mountain from where you’re standing, bigger than any living creature you’ve ever heard of. You can’t be any bigger than one of their toes.
Fortunately, the kobold hasn’t noticed you. You see the creature looking around, and one of their massive feet starts tapping impatiently, shaking you to your core.
“Where you hidin’, sneaky smoothskin?” they growl.
You keep silent and don’t move, hoping that the creature will fail to spot the bug-sized thing by their feet. But you also start to consider another option: if they haven’t noticed you, maybe you can hitch a ride on the kobold. You might be able to hang on to one of their feet, or maybe their tail, and get carried somewhere else—anywhere would be better than this empty cave tunnel, without any food and barely any light.
