Scenario 1: You have a patamon who isn't mean or evil so much as he's kind of a brat. His behavior wouldn't be too difficult to manage, maybe even be kinda cute, if only he wasn't also so damn huge. While he wasn't outright destructive, he had a tendency to cause trouble with his size he doesn't notice or mean to, and deflect blame if its pointed out. All this is especially true when he's pouting or whining over not getting something he wants.
Scenario 2: You live in something like a fantasy medeival society. Digimon a fearsome, gigantic creatures that ocassionally cross over into your world. One in particular, a patamon, has done so recently and decided the castle you work at and the kingdom it rules over now belong to him.
Scenario 3: There was an event that connected the human and digital worlds and at the same time shrunk all humans. With humans no longer able to operate or navigate the devices and structures that had made up their society, digimon kind of just moved in and picked up the pieces for themselves. You're kept as a pet by the patamon who lives in what used to be your apartment.
Scenario 4: Digimon are all giant compared to humans but are still our close friends and allies, generally happy to be helpful however they can, often taking the place of things we'd need technology for otherwise. You're the caretaker for a patamon who works at an airline, ferrying people around the world.
