Tina grabbed Terry's hand and shouted, "We will do it" while putting her hand up and waving it in the air out of excitement. "What, no I didn't agree to this..." was all Terry could mutter as he was dragged off, "Whats the matter Terry, you scared this thing will actually work?" Sophie shouted as he was dragged into the center of the crowd with the man and his device.
"Ah great, two wonderful brave volunteers, can I have your names please so the crowd can know who will be transcending the crowds understanding of what is possible?" the man cheered as the two approached. "I'm Tina and this is my older brother Terry" Tina said with the childish excitement in her voice. "Not for long" the man said, "What do you mean" Tina responded, "Soon you will be Terry and he will be you". Tina's eyes lit up, this was actually happening and it was so exciting. The man prepared the device as Terry spoke up, "If this works and I am not saying it will, but it is reversible right..." his sentence was cut off as he was zapped by the device.
For a split second everything went black, but then he regained his vision but only it was different, he was still facing the man but only he was now looking up at the man. Terry finished his sentence "I don't want to be stuck as my little sister... wait my voice, why is it so high pitched, why do I sound like a girl." it struck him, this device actually works and now he was in his little sisters body while she was in his. "Oh my god Terry, I am actually in your body, this is so cool". The two looked at each other and then back at the man for answers. "you see, it works and these two are all the proof you need" The crowd applauded but then someone else said "If it works swap me with someone, I think these two are actors you paid to pretend to swap bodies", the man looked at the device and back up at the man in the audience, "The problem with that is, the device only has 1 charge every hour, so I cant swap anyone else until it is fully charged" "What..." Terry shouted in Tina's childish voice, "Just as I thought everyone, this stuff isn't possible it was all just a hoax", slowly the crowd started to dispersed until it was only the strange man, Terry, Tina, and Sophie left.
"I want answers now, I don't want to be stuck in this body" Terry shouted angrily pointing down at the my little pony shirt and skirt he was wearing. "I quite like this Terry, are you sure you want to swap back" Tina joked. "I am sorry kiddo, I only have 1 change per hour so you will have to come back here in an hour and I will swap you back". "I am not a kid, and this is something you need to tell people before you swap their bodies", Terry shouted, Sophie giggled, Terry looked like Tina throwing a tantrum and pouting right now. "So let me get this straight this thing actually works, your Terry and your Tina" Sophie spoke up. "Yes sis, we actually swapped bodies" Terry responded. "This is too good, Terry your a little girl this is the funniest thing that has ever happened, ha ha ha ha". Sophie laughed in response.
"OK you you guys meet me back here in an hour and I will swap you back, here is my card just in case so you guys can call me if something happens between now and then". Tina and Terry had no choice so they left to the food court just as they intended before hand.
"Look on the bright side Terry, you get to be a kid again for an hour. You can play in the kids play area just like when you were actually a kid, and Tina can sit with me and we can talk girl stuff while you play, there is no actual downside to this current predicament." Sophie said trying to cheer Terry up.
"I guess you are right, I did enjoy the play area at the mall when I was younger" Terry said as he slowly cheered up at the idea of reliving his youth.
Tina jumped with excitement, "Yay, I get to be a grown up for a while, this is going to be so much fun Terry" Tina said jumping up and down.
Sophie realized something, "Terry, Tina I think we need to start referring to you guys as the name of the body you are in, we keep getting strange looks and I don't want to bring attention to ourselves".
Terry looked up at Sophie, "I guess you are right, 'Terry' and I need to use our bodies names after all it makes sense".
"I am glad you agree 'Tina'", Sophie responded.
