It crossed her mind at first, it really did. The idea that it was best for her to just...crush MC and be done with it. But...staring down at the shaking, terrified mess that her former roommate now was...she couldn't bring herself to do it...hopefully the fact that she had been DEBATING doing so wasn't obvious to MC.
From MC's perspective, Lola looked like...some kind of ancient god almost, staring down at him, deciding his fate as she stared...and then the god sighed. "...I'm so, so sorry. I never thought this was something that was gonna happen. Are you ok at least? Beyond the obvious?"
MC nodded and said something Lola couldn't make out.
"One second..." And with a disturbing bit of casualness, Lola brought MC up to one of her ears, and placed him gently just inside of it. "OK, now try?"
"I-I...I said I'm fine?" MC shouted into the ear but...
"Heh. Even that close I can barely make out what your saying. But if your OK..." Lola sighs. "Look I think we both know I'm not near smart enough to fix or re-build your device."
"W-well...I mean..."
"Save it." Lola stands up again, leaving him in her ear. "I'll be level with you, you wouldn't survive a day like this on your own, right? But I don't want you to die or anything, so...and I know this...sounds degrading but...I'm...going to keep you"
"W-what?"
"For your own good, I swear! You'll be safe and everything..." she continued as she picked up blueprints she really didn't understand
