The dining uniform was an odd pink combination of Ancient Rome meets Ancient Baghdad. Physically, Anastasia filled out the costume quite nicely. She did, after all, bear a remarkable resemblance to her distance ancestress, twenty-first century model Valeria Lukyanova (though Anastasia didn't need cosmetic surgery to achieve her looks).
But Anastasia came from a human society that emphasized body modesty. Wearing such an outfit was mortifying for her. But apparently, for a state dinner, it was a required outfit for someone of her age and position.
Reminding herself that she was doing this for United Humanity, Anastasia donned her outfit.
===================
That evening, as the human delegation was introduced, Anastasia felt more than a few admiring eyes on her form. Her cheeks were a bright red as she tried to focus on her duty to United Humanity.
The humans were led up stairs to their tables, which were set on the tables the Dingnagian themselves were dining from. The fare was vegetarian (the Dingnagian gastrointestinal tract is incapable of handling animal protein), but the Dingnagians were giving the visiting humans the full spectrum of their culinary culture.
Anastasia found herself unable to focus on the food. Not only was she feeling exposed, she was feeling tiny. At a little over a meter and a half tall, Anastasia was used to being the smallest person in the room. But with her dining partner being just over fourteen meters tall, Anastasia felt practically Lilliputian.
So who is the male Dingnagian that Anastasia is eating with?
