Come visit the Wolfe's, just your normal human-farming werewolf family.
This choice: Billy  •  Go Back...
Billy, being under ten years of age, and therefor too young to really work on the farm, was getting ready for his day. He had his smartphone, a couple of comic books, and a few other things any young werewolf needed.

He could hear his father talking, either to his older brother, or maybe one of the livestock.

He looked out the window, and saw his father talking to the Prime Breeder known as John Wrangler. There was something about John that scared Billy. He had a look in his eyes he had whenever he looked at any werewolf, or vampire, that addressed the livestock by anything other than their names - it was a sign of danger to those not in the know. Then there was his walking stick, supposedly to help him walk, due to an injury from before pre-capture - there was a knob on the end of it. When he was six years old, a bear had broken through a section of the fence. Billy had watched as John hobbled up to the bear, and started bashing the beast in the head, using that knob to hit it in the skull. Granted, his father had managed to get a rifle and place several bullets into the thing's head, but the knob on John's walking stick had been covered in brain matter by the time the first round was fired.

Billy knew that John was Dangerous. He needed to be restrained when medical devices were used on him, and Billy was always told to say, "Hey John," when walking behind him. Supposedly, this was due to something pre-capture, but Billy had learned that day that John was Dangerous in another way - he wasn't afraid to fight those stronger than himself.

Just thinking about that incident sent chills down Billy's spine. What if John decided to use that stick on his father one day?

"Billy!" called his mother. "You'd better get out of your room soon. You can't be in it all day."

"Yes mom!" he yelled back.
