Lucky Break

Later that night, a lightning storm began to brew. Be it divine providence or just plain luck, a bolt strikes the housing building, almost instantly a blaze was formed and began to spread. The building's security system sensed the heat of the flames and engaged it's emergency protocol, unlocking every door within as an alarm sounded.

Matthew and the others couldn't believe their fortune! As the other cattle gathered in the field to escape the blaze, Matthew and his cohorts made a break for the woods on the edge of the farm's property.

Before disappearing into the trees, Matthew turned to take one last look at the burning place he'd been imprisoned in for so long, hoping the fire would spread across the entire farm and burn it all to ash.
