Two years ago, Henry had done what his would be owners thought impossible. He had escaped from the Wolfe's farm, right under their noses. It was actually a lot easier than he anticipated. All he did was hide in the back of Robert's truck under a tarp, and wait for him to drive out the main gate.
Robert had driven into the city to run some errands, and after the truck stopped and he was gone, he slipped out and he was free.
Having been recently captured, he had not yet been marked as the Wolfe's property, so if he were caught, he wouldn't be taken back to the farm. To be honest, Henry didn't really think he'd get as far as he did.
Long story short, Henry ended up falling in with the local human mafia. He had recently turned eighteen and the boss had decided to give him a test to see if he was ready to join the crew.
