Bet It Go

"Since you're afraid of me right now," Billy told John with a smile. "You have to do what I say, or I'll tell my daddy you hit me."

"I'd like to make that into a bet," John said, trying to turn Billy's threat into a counter offer. "If you avoid telling him for three days, I'll eat 10,000 pounds of feed in one week."

"If I tell him within those three days," Billy said. "You get to play with me after chores, and we can have a picnic together."

John held out his hand, and the two made the bet.
