"Yeah, I wouldn't mind going around town with you," he responded after a moment of thinking. He already had a feel for what to expect, but figured it would be a good idea to get acquainted with the shops he would be frequenting early on. Plus, he got to spend more time with the adorable Isabelle.
She beamed happily, tail wagging as she turned to lead him on the tour. "Oh, you're going to love this! Our local businesses are so nice!"
Their first stop was the Able Sister's Tailor Shop. Inside, Thomas would spy all three of the store's namesakes hard at work. Sable was at the sewing machine, the pear-shaped hedgehog hard at work with a tired expression. Mable was setting up mannequins, humming cheerfully as her ample chest jiggled with each movement. And the fashionable, hourglass-figured Label was working on accessories with a calm, slightly bored look on her face. All three had turned to look at him and Isabelle as they came in, the door jingling to herald their arrival. Mable immediately bounced over, smiling brightly in greeting.
"Welcome to Able Sisters! You must be the new resident Isabelle was telling us about!" Soon enough, introductions were being made, Thomas pretending that he didn't already know who they were. He promised to stop by soon for a new look, when Mable stopped him. "Before you go, my sisters and I have actually been looking for someone like you who could maybe help us with a little something. If you're interested, come by and let us know sometime!" Thomas agreed to think about it, then continued on.
Next was The Roost, the coffee shop run by the large yet calm Brewster. The pigeon nodded quietly to Thomas upon introduction, then stated "We have a good selection of coffee varieties in stock. Please feel free to order any time. And, if you're interested, perhaps you would like to try our new specialty blends. They're supposed to have a... quite unique kick to them." Thomas thanked him, then went on his way to the next stop on the tour.
After that was the Dream Suite, where Thomas was introduced to the thickly curved tapir, Luna. She gave Thomas a bow upon meeting him, granting him a generous view of her ample cleavage. "Greetings, dear guest. If you have any desire to relax and explore the vast possibilities of the dream realm, feel free to visit me any time. Lay in my comfortable bed and let yourself drift away into a world where the impossible can become real with only a thought." Thomas was intrigued by this, and thanked her before heading out.
Before the tour could continue, Isabelle ran into her brother, Digby. She introduced the two, Thomas noting the male dog's somewhat effeminate physique, not quite girly but notably not masculine. As the two caught up, Thomas felt like a bit of a third wheel and wandered away to give them some time. As he did, he would hear a voice whispering to him from a nearby alley.
"Hey, cuz! Come here! Have I got a deal for you!" Immediately, he had an idea of who was calling out to him, looking over to spy Crazy Redd the fox. Humoring him, Thomas came over. "Alright, knew you had the look of the daring type! Now listen, since you're new in town and seem like a fine young man, I'm gonna make you an offer, yeah? Now normally I deal in fine art, but there's not been much of a market for it lately. So instead, I've gotten into selling some very... interesting products. Things that can do some real wonderful stuff, yeah? They might not be deemed fit for the market yet, maybe they haven't been tested too much, but I assure you that they'll spice up your life in this hum drum little town. Think it over. You'll know where to find me if you're interested." And with that, he slunk back into the darkness, just as Isabelle was finishing up her conversation.
"Sorry about that, Thomas! So, would you like to see more?"
Thomas thought about the businesses he'd been shown already. Clearly there was more to see, but he wasn't sure how exciting those options would be. He could cut the tour and go to one of the ones he'd been shown already...
