MOM
(beaming)
Hi! I'm here to enroll my son, Jake, in your daycare. I've filled out the application form already.
She hands the envelope to the receptionist, who opens it and begins to read the contents.
RECEPTIONIST
(smiling)
Thank you. It seems everything is in order. Jake will have a great time here.
MOM
(excitedly)
I'm sure he will. Oh, and I have a little surprise for him. Can we keep it a secret until he arrives?
RECEPTIONIST
(curious)
Of course, we can do that. What's the surprise?
MOM
(whispering)
Jake will be treated like a baby during his stay. Diapers, baby clothes, bonnets, mittens, and booties—everything. He'll be in for quite a surprise when he sees it.
The receptionist chuckles.
RECEPTIONIST
(laughing)
That sounds like a lot of fun. We'll make sure he has an unforgettable time.
They exchange a knowing look, and Jake's mom leaves the daycare, excitement bubbling inside her.
INT. DAYCARE PLAYROOM - DAY
Jake enters the daycare playroom, holding his mom's hand. He looks around, expecting to see his usual playmates.
JAKE
(confused)
Mom, where are all my friends?
MOM
(teasingly)
Well, Jake, today you're in for a special surprise. You're going to be treated like a baby during your stay here.
Jake's eyes widen in amazement and curiosity.
JAKE
(excitedly)
Like a baby? Really, Mom?
MOM
(nods)
Yes, Jake. You'll have diapers, baby clothes, and all the fun things babies get to experience.
Jake's face lights up with pure joy.
INT. DAYCARE INFANT ROOM - DAY
The room is filled with colorful toys, soft mats, and cribs. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, bustling with activity. JAKE, now dressed in a cute onesie and wearing a bonnet, steps into the room, his eyes widening with wonder.
INFANT CAREGIVER (30s, kind-hearted) notices Jake's arrival and approaches him with a warm smile.
CAREGIVER
(in a gentle voice)
Hello there, little one! Are you ready for a fun day with us?
JAKE
(nervously excited)
Um, yes! I'm Jake.
CAREGIVER
(extends her hand)
Nice to meet you, Jake. I'm Miss Sarah. How about we find you a cozy spot to play and explore?
Jake nods, feeling a mix of anticipation and curiosity. Miss Sarah leads him to a playmat adorned with stuffed animals and introduces him to the other infants.
CAREGIVER
(to the other infants)
Everyone, this is Jake. He'll be joining our little group for a while.
The infants coo and babble in response, their tiny hands reaching out towards Jake.
MISS SARAH
(whispering to Jake)
Don't worry, they're all friendly. You'll have so much fun with them.
Jake smiles, feeling a sense of acceptance. He begins to engage with the toys and interact with the other infants, his imagination running wild.
INT. DAYCARE KITCHEN - DAY
Jake's mom peeks through a small window into the infant room, observing her son's first day. She sees him laughing and playing, fully immersed in the experience.
MOM
(whispering to herself)
He looks so happy. This surprise was definitely worth it.
She wipes away a tear of joy, grateful for the opportunity to create such a unique experience for Jake.
INT. DAYCARE INFANT ROOM - DAY
Hours pass, and the infants begin to settle down for naptime. Jake, now wearing mittens and booties, is gently guided to a crib by Miss Sarah.
MISS SARAH
(sweetly)
Time to rest, Jake. You'll need your energy for more adventures later.
JAKE
(yawning)
Okay, Miss Sarah. Goodnight.
Miss Sarah tucks Jake in and softly hums a lullaby as he drifts off to sleep, surrounded by a sense of comfort and care.
