The world seemed to fade into the background as Kat stepped toward the heavily pregnant statue. Its massive belly seemed to fill her view as her feet moved carefully over the debris-littered floor. The faint crunch of rock underfoot appeared to be the only sound as Kat approached the statue, her eyes fixed on its belly. Was it possible to carry around such a massive belly without pain? Had these women not suffered some agony when giving birth? Did they love it?
Kat stopped a few paces away from the statue, her eyes roving the body of the pregnant teen it depicted. Up close, even more details became visible. The girl looked similar to Kat, with only a few differences- the massive belly being the most obvious. The statue's face was young and innocent, though it too was somewhat hidden behind the bulging belly from a closer perspective. There was a hint of sadness in her eyes, a longing for something that Kat couldn't quite place. Her body wasn't quite as lithe as Kat had initially thought. A noticeable layer of fat adorned her body, though the girl was by no means obese.
Kat's heart was pounding in her chest, and warmth emanated from her groin as she took another step toward the statue. Her eyes continued to rove over the figure, taking in every detail. Her fingers ached to touch the girl's body, to feel her rounded shape against them. She wanted to see what it would be like to be pregnant and heavy with a child.
Small stretchmarks had been carved into the statue's belly, depicting the strain such an enormous tummy would have on a person's body. They weren't large enough to be seen unless you knew where to look, but they were present.
"What would it be like?" Kat whispered aloud. "Would my belly swell like hers?"
Kat closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She could still see the statue in her mind with its beautiful curves and enormous belly. Curiosity welled within the teen as her mind wandered back and forth between imagining herself pregnant and becoming pregnant.
Her hands moved to her stomach, running up and down the smooth surface as she pictured herself as big and round as the statue. She envisioned herself with a swollen belly and a child growing inside her. Kat tried to imagine how it would feel to be so heavily pregnant and unable to move without help. How would it feel to be so large that simply walking across a room required assistance? What would it feel like to have a baby growing within her? Would the pregnancy itself hurt?
Kat opened her eyes and glanced back at Nathan, scribbling away in his notebook in the far corner. Nate stood hunched over some broken artifact or piece of rubble just out of view. The breeze whistled through cracks in the ancient structure, and Kat could hear the splash of the waterfalls outside. Occasionally, debris falling from the roof to the solid floor below would echo throughout the chamber.
A gentle smile crossed Kat's lips as she turned back towards the statues, focusing on the one with the enormous belly. Kat felt drawn to it like she needed to reach out and touch it. The figure was like a siren's call in Kat's mind, promising to lead her to a land of fulfillment.
Kat slowly made her way toward the statue, her steps slow and careful as she walked past piles of rocks and old pieces of metal. Finally, she reached the figure and leaned forward, placing her hand on its belly.
The stone was surprisingly warm to the touch, and the heat radiated into Kat like a hot summer breeze. Kat shivered involuntarily, though she kept her hand pressed against the figure's abdomen. The stone felt like natural skin, textured and bumpy beneath her palm. She ran her hand along its sides, feeling the bumps and ridges as she traced them with her fingertips.
Kat gasped softly, staring at the statue's belly with wonder. It was amazing! Kat longed to know what it would be like to carry such a large belly. Would it hurt? Would she get morning sickness? Would she be uncomfortable all day? Or would everything feel wonderful? Kat needed to know the answers to those questions!
Kat closed her eyes and focused on the feelings coursing through her body. The sensation of touching the statue's belly excited her greatly, and she could tell that her arousal was rising quickly. Kat breathed deeply, trying to keep her emotions under control. Yet, as she held her hands against the statue's belly, desires began to grow in the teen. Her heart was racing as words seemed to form unbidden in her mind, echoing her desires. Something about the statue was so attractive, so enticing that it was hard for Kat to think straight.
"I wish I could be pregnant." Those simple words slipped out of Kat's mouth, surprising her. But before she could stop them, they continued to flow freely. "I want to experience that life...to give birth..." Kat trailed off as her thoughts grew deeper and darker, her voice slightly trembling as she spoke. "To feel my belly swell and push outward!"
Kat trembled with desire as her fingers brushed the figure's belly. She stroked its sides gently, enjoying the texture and feel of its stone flesh. Kat didn't want a normal pregnancy, though. The figure before her tainted her desires, making her long for something different than the norm. As Kat's lustful desires rose, her breathing increased in intensity. Kat wanted to become helplessly trapped by the curse. She craved being immobile, chained by the weight of her unborn child.
Kat's hands slid downward, tracing the figure's belly. She marveled at the size of the thing, wondering how it had been possible for the girl to have carried around such a huge belly. Indeed it must have caused significant discomfort for the poor girl! And yet something was mesmerizing about the sight of the figure's protruding belly, something almost hypnotic about it.
"I want to be like her," Kat whispered with her eyes still glued to the belly of the statue, "I want to be immobile and helpless like her. I want to be unable to move without help, unable to do anything but eat and grow!"
As Kat said these things, a strange sensation began to radiate through her body. The warmth from the statue seemed to merge into her stomach like it was seeping into her very core. Her body tingled with anticipation, and her heartbeat quickened.
"Oh god," Kat moaned, "oh fuck meeeeee!!"
She pulled her hands away from the statue and stumbled backward, her legs suddenly weak. The chamber seemed to spin, and Kat steadied herself against a large stone. The tingling filled her body and spread rapidly throughout her limbs, leaving her dizzy and disoriented. She gripped tightly onto the rock for support as she stared at the statue with wide eyes.
Kat's mind spun, and her vision blurred. The world seemed to dissolve around her as the sights, and sounds of the crumbling temple faded away. It was like slipping into a dream while still awake. Kat saw flashes of light and colors dancing through her head. Colors swirled together until they formed images of the woman before her. The girl was no longer a statue but flesh and blood. The young girl cradled her massive belly with a smile as she looked longingly at Kat.
"Welcome to my realm. I am Eshara, daughter of Kala and Goddess of Fertility. I have heard your prayers, and now I will answer them." Eshara spoke in a whisper, her voice resonating in Kat's ears like a song. "You are destined to take up my mantel, my beloved Avatar. You wish to be like me, and so you shall be."
Eshara smiled warmly, her teeth gleaming white in the darkness. Then, she lowered her gaze, looking directly into Kat's eyes. A wave of intense energy flowed through Kat as the deity gazed upon her with loving compassion. The warmth from the Goddess's gaze made Kat feel safe and protected- like she'd do anything for Eshara.
"Will you accept my gift... or my curse?"
