The 23rd century!

You went to the 23rd century. By this point, Earth has been exploring the stars for almost a century and has a decent sized interstellar empire of colonies under its control and has established contact with almost all the aliens in the galaxy. However such a golden age wouldn't last forever as tensions with other aliens soon rose over opposing ideologies and disputed interstellar territory. By 2218, war had broken out between two diplomatic blocs: The Allied Powers, lead by Earth, and the Coalition Nations, led by aliens called the Grolxie. They and their allies will spend the entire 23rd century fighting each other in what would be called "The Century War," and you were going to land in the middle of it.
