Alexa couldn’t believe what had just happened. She was suddenly diminished to a miniscule size on the office room floor, while the "toy ray" responsible lied on the table miles and miles above her.
Neck craning upwards, her bare legs anxiously shook, wobbling her body around as she desperately tried to absorb what just happened and what she was going to do. She knew she had to figure out why and how this happened to her, but was lost for a good answer.
She figured she needed to get someone’s help, but at this size not only would getting around the entire office take an excruciatingly long while, but also wondered if anyone would even be able to recognize her.
She also looked around at her expansive environment, with dust smoke and clouds all over, making it resemble a canyon, and realized staying on the floor is a recipe for disaster as well, being squished like nothing under her co-workers feet, or attacked by whatever bugs were around.
With no other option, Alexa sighed, nervously walked up to the closest leg of the table, which stood upwards like a titanous pillar, and began to grip onto it. She was going to climb the table and reach the ray, to attempt to somehow regrow herself.
Preparing to pull herself up, Alexa began to marvel at the detail of all the individual bumps and indents within the desk leg, and how insignificant that made her look in comparison. If anything, she was at least thankful that to her they were all large enough for her to hold onto. “Easier than rock climbing at least” she thought.
However, after a couple “feet” of movement, she realized after tripping a bit that her high heels were not helping her at all in keeping steady, and only were making things worse, so she reluctantly kicked her legs to side, tossing the shoes down onto the ground, allowing her to continue the ascent barefoot.
She was annoyed at the thought of potentially losing one of her pairs of heels, and further irritated by how dusty and dirty her work suit was getting from all the dust clumps getting stuck to her, but between all that and the thought of potentially falling to her death right there and then, she re-focused her priorities on surviving and growing.
After about ten minutes she was about halfway up the leg, as the tiredness started to get to her. What ends up happening next?
