The cramped grey city of Tokyo is what usually was around me on any given day. Thankfully summer was finally here and my mother and father needed to leave for a month on business.
Rather then stay at home on my own they elected that I stay with my aunt and two cousins out in the country. I told them I loved that idea.
Little did I know that it would be a very different vacation then usual.
There was always something warm and soul soothing when I spent time with my aunt and cousins. It was a bright sunny summer morning when I drove to the small town coastal home. My aunt Shiori was a very house proud Woman. The driveway was clean and the front garden pretty and tidy.
There was something heartwarming seeing it while I was driving up to the car port. Urban construction had not yet overtaken the natural surroundings of the small town.
Lots of different birds and friendly bugs and bountiful fish called this place home, as well as heaps of flowers and trees.
When I made it to the front door and knocked I was greeted with my very happy extended family.
“My dear welcome back Cazz-kun.” My aunt Shiori said as she gave me a warm hug before I walked in the door. “I’ve missed you aunt Shiori.” I said.
My two cousins Yuna and Mia both looked happy to see me. “Hay! Long time no see little Cuzz.” Said Mia. “Been too long Mia, I’ve missed you too.” I said to her when I came in for a hug.
“Welcome back!” Said Yuna. “Good to be back Yuna.” I said as I also hugged her.
My uncle was also among the group. “Welcome back Cazz-kun. I hope you had a pleasant trip.” Said uncle Kenji.
“I did uncle Kenji thank you, the road here from Tokyo is always very scenic.” I said as we both hugged as well.
“Girls go help Cazz-kun get set up in the guest room.” Said aunt Shiori. “Alright mum” said Mia. She then looked towards me. “I hope you didn’t pack too much little cuzz.” Mia said.
The day was still young when my room had been finished being set up. All the family had their own business to deal with. I decided to.
