Tyrannosaurus rex: Almost 40 feet of carnivore; 20 feet tall; it can run fast, but doesn't do so often, as a fall could be fatal Allosaurus: Nearly as big as the T. rex; hunt in packs; serrated teeth allow it to tear flesh in ribbons; anything that gets out of its jaws will probably bleed to death Velociraptor: About the size of a wolf; feathered; feeds on lizards, mammals, and small dinosaurs Dilophosaurus: 8 feet tall and 20 feet long; feathered; able to run at great speeds Spinosaurus: Huge; semi-aquatic; sail on back can be used to regulate body temperature, and to attract a mate Gallimimus: Three times as big as the average person; feathered Pteranodon: Glider; fish-eater; can move quickly on land on all fours Mosasaurus: Aquatic reptile; as long as a school bus; ocean-dweller; imagine a 50-foot-long crocodile, with turtle flippers Plesiosaurus: Seven and a half feet long; not fast, but maneuverable; fish-eater Dimetrodon: 10 feet long; a fearsome predator; a powerful bite Apatosaurus: 75 feet long; herbivore; harmless, unless it steps on you Brachiosaurus: 75 feet long; longer neck; herbivore; also harmless, unless it steps on you Diplodocus: 82 feet long; tail as long as the rest of its body; probably ate shrubs Triceratops: 30 feet long; herbivore; teeth like scissors Styracosaurus: 17 feet long; herbivore; teeth constantly replaced Stegosaurus: 30 feet long; two rows of plates down the back, most likely a courtship display; tail spikes named after a newspaper cartoon Ankylosaurus: 20 feet long; armored with bony plates, even over the eyelids; tail equipped with a bony club that it can swing with bone-shattering force Iguanodon: 30 feet long; 16 feet tall; can walk on all fours or upright Edmontosaurus: 43 feet long; duck-billed; herbivore
