Rouge wakes up hungry...

    by: Borpmcglorp Author IconMail Icon
Having been so hungry from days on end without food that she ate herself into a food coma, Rouge once again awoke in her newfound elegant chambers. Satisfied and rested though she was, today she had questions of her saviors, and of Ragus in particular.

The sun was well into the sky when she awoke, indicating that she had slept most of the day away. New to her bedside however, was a long, fibrous rope that came to an end where her head rested on the pillows. *I don't remember seeing this before...when did this get here* Thought Rouge to herself. All of her thieving instincts cried out in protest at meddling with something unknown in an unfamiliar place but...strangely, she couldn't hold herself back. Overwhelmed by curiousity, she gave it a pull, and a high pitch *ding* rang out in the distance. Mortified she had done something wrong, all she could do was sit back and wait.

Next thing she knew, the massive double doors to her chambers sprang open, and in came Ragus, flanked once more by the shapely Echidna sisters. "You called for us, mistress Rouge?"

"I uh, sure? I guess? I mean...yes. Yes I did. Look, Ragus, you said you would answer my questions and I need you to do that for me right now." Rouge spat out.

"But of course, mistress."

"Why do you keep calling me that?? How did I get here? And why won't you let me leave??" Rouge stammered.

"Let you leave? You can leave any time you wish, mistress. You are our honoured guest, of course, but it would be a shame for you to turn your back on our...hospitality so soon. Don't you think?" Ragus replied calmly.

"I...well, I mean, you did take me in after the crash, and fed me I suppose."

"And do you not enjoy these elegant chambers? Such a view of our natural world..." Ragus replied.

"W-well, yes, of course. But still! You can't just keep a girl pinned down, even in a place as nice as this!" Rouge spat out.

"Again, mistress. You are free to leave at any time, should you desire to do so. Though we would be sad to see you go, of course. Perhaps a mid-afternoon snack might settle your worries? Truly mistress Rouge, we want only to serve you."

"Lunch? Don't be ridiculous, I still have so many questions to ask, like what was the fruit you gave me yesterd-"

Rouge was interrupted by another steady stream of servants carrying silver platter after platter of food, almost as if summoned by Ragus himself. She readied herself to cast them aside when....that smell. Oh my god the smell. The food smelled simply divine. She could hardly keep her train of thought the smell was so enticing and overwhelming.

"W-well, maybe just a bite, it does all smell, so, so good..."

Ragus smiled. "Of course, mistress. Set your worries aside with a bite to eat. Then I shall explain until you are properly satisfied."

And she did so. Starting slowly but picking up speed, something inside of her became simply ravenous the more she ate. And-oh! There were those strange blushed red, curvacious fruits again. How strange that she had never seen them before. But they were simply delectable. And so she ate. And she ate some more. And the more she ate, the more she desired.

A solid hour and a half passed before she was finally finished, and collapsed backwards onto the bed, breasts bouncing up and down near her face like jelly. "Ohh my goodness. Your chefs certainly know how to treat a lady, Ragus."

"Indeed they do. We pride ourselves on it, you see." Ragus replied.

"Eh? What do you mean by that?" Rouge responded, thinking his comment oddly specific.

"Perhaps it is time you were fully enlightened, mistress. Sisters, prepare her palanquin."

At the snap of his fingers, the maidens returned with two large Echidnas carrying a single-seat carrying device, and just like that, they promptly hoisted her up and into the chair.

"What! Hey! What do you think you're doing! How are you touch a lady like that!" Rouge exclaimed, not wanting to move much after stuffing herself silly.

"Calm yourself mistress, you are in good hands. I simply desire to show you something." Ragus said.

As she was carried down long and winding golden hallways, Ragus continued:

"You see mistress Rouge, long ago, this was a prosperous kingdom. Even more prosperous and golden than it is now, if you can believe it. But we were visited by a witch in disguise. She came to us as a beggar, pleading for us to let her into our golden city, to shelter her, and share our wealth. She was desperate to get out of the hostile jungle and we.....we turned her away. It was our city's greatest shame. And for that, she revealed her true identity as a witch, and hexxed us all. She took away our wealth, and sealed our prosperity from us." Ragus told.

"Okay? Great? I really don't see what any of this has to do with me." Rouge replied curtly.

"I am getting to your part in all of this. Soldiers, if you would." And the Echidnas gently lowered Rouge to the ground, and opened up another set of massive doors, revealing a gigantic chamber with what appeared to be a massive set of justice scales in the center. But these were so much larger than any Rouge had ever seen before. A whole army could practically stand on one of the scales!

"As you can see," Ragus continued "We have a rather large set of scales in the middle of these chambers. These were not always here. On one side, we have nothing. And on the other set of scales, a pile of gold coin, jewelry, diamonds and every kind of precious item imaginable." Ragus continued.

"Buh-buh-buh....emeralds?? DIAMONDS!!" Rouge managed to get out.

"Indeed. But they cannot be removed from their resting place. Try though we might, they simply cannot be removed by normal, non-magical means." Ragus glanced over at Rouge, who was so clearly entirely enraptured by the precious stones she could barely concentrate. "Do these stones interest you, mistress?" Ragus asked.

"I, yes. well, oh my goodness yes! How do we retrieve them then?!" Rouge exclaimed.

"Heh. Funny you should ask. These gems could all well be yours, and so much more."

"They COULD?! Oh Ragus, you know how to speak to a lady!" Rouge was practically floating in the clouds.

"There is but one thing that must be done. We must balance the scales." Ragus said clinically.

"Okay, well let's get to work! We could get a few of these burly soldier boys to stand on top of each there and-"

"I'm afraid not," Ragus interjected. "There is but one way to balance these scales of justice. A debt must be repaid, and a lesson learned."

"Eh?" Rouge asked.

"We must pay for our sin by sharing what is ours. Our hospitality, if you will. We must take in a stranger to this city, and serve and pamper them until they tip the scales themselves." Ragus said, again, as if this were nothing out of the ordinary.

"I. What. You cannot be serious. There must be thousands and thousands of pounds of treasure on the other side of those scales!" Rouge began to laugh. "Why, haha. that person would have to be as big as a barge, hahaha!"

The room fell deadly silent as all eyes fell upon Rouge. Suddenly, her laughter was interrupted by her remembering the food, the lavish treatment. The servants.

"Oh no. Oh no no no. Hahaha, I don't think so. Look, it's been a slice, but I'm not sticking around here to become your whale queen. Get real!" Rouge responded matter of factly.

"I thought you might respond this way," Ragus replied. "Which is why I took out a little insurance. Those...rather rotund fruits you've been eating. They have a rather special effect, you see."

"Oh no, oh no, what have you done to me?! You've poisoned me, haven't you! I knew it! I have to get out of here!" Rouge screamed.

"Calm down!" Ragus's voice boomed for perhaps the first time since she met him. "Those fruits are not poison! They are our cherished fruit of the gods themselves. They do nothing to you save lower the inhibitions that have been keeping you from achieving your true, most glorious form as our corpulent queen. Again, you are free to leave at any time, but only should you want to leave. These fruits enhance your desire, and so let you become who you really are." Ragus stated.

Rouge could do nothing but stare dumbfounded.

"Our seers have prophesized your coming, mistress. We have prepared decades for this very moment. We are not here to imprison you. We are here, to serve you. In every way imaginable." Ragus finished.

Rouge was speechless. What the hell had she gotten herself into? She motioned to get up from her palanquin and make a break for it but Ragus produced something from the sleeve of his cloak.

A sweet slice of cake.

The smell hit her nostrils and once more, she found it impossible to resist. She practically lunged for the snack, devouring it as quickly as it had appeared.

"Soldiers, if you don't mind, return her to her chambers, will you? I am sure this has been a most overwhelming day, and she has much to consider." Ragus stated.

The soldiers kept her sedated with more slices of cake on her way back to her room. And while she wasn't pleased, she..did realize there was some small, tiny part of her that was...excited. After all, isn't this...kind of what she wanted?

The soldiers arrived back at her room and set her down on her bed, a small belly now jiggling on her as much as her chest.
