The 43rd Triple Empresses of the Gemini Empire are Tetra VIII, Dutra XI, and Untra II of House Unitastra. The three sister empresses sharing one body was a symbol of national unity to the empire. However in private, this was far from the norm for them.

Tetra and Untra were once again yelling at each other. Tetra, the right head who controlled the right half of their body and the left head Untra controlled the left half. Despite sharing the same body and having essentially the same life, both of them had extremely differing opinions about policy making.
"The new colony on Hesttrais IV should be turned into a mining colony! The empire is running short in minerals. Hesttrais IV's deposits will be more than enough to support out economy," Tetra said.
"Oh please, we're not 'short' on minerals. We still have a stockpile that'll last us a decade," Untra said. "Hesttrais IV is home to millions of newly discovered flora and fauna. It should be turned into a preservation world, so that researchers and tourists can visit it."
"Ten years isn't even that long, and that's assuming out needs don't change in that time. And if you care about some dumb plants and animals, just section off parts of the planet without mineral deposits."
"You really expect mining corporations to just respect the borders we draw? Like how they did on Aegis VIIa? And besides, even if they don't bulldoze the entire planet, the pollution they'll produce will still damage the planet's environment."
"Oh my goddesses, who cares about one dumb planet? Our empire has hundreds!"
"Every planet with life is valuable! We shouldn't just destroy them willy nilly!"
"Uh, guys," Dutra spoke up. "If I could chime in."
"Not now, Dutra!" Untra and Tetra said simultaneously.
Dutra dipped her head down and silenced herself again. As the middle head who controlled none of there body, it was traditionally her role to mediate between her two sisters. But she felt her sisters were especially volatile towards each other compared to their deceased mothers. Their political views were too different and Dutra struggled to speak between them arguing, let alone propose a compromise. She always held her head down during their arguments.
"Anyway, Untra, you're a spineless hippie!"
"Well Tetra, you're a corporatist sell out!"
Dutra desperately hoped something would change between them to mend their relationship as triple empress.
