“Hi….” Was all Jade could manage, a look of extreme concern on her gorgeous face. Which was only a few inches away from a greying, haggard looking man’s face that Evan didn’t recognise.
“What the fuck is going on? And who the hell is that? And why is he attached to your body?”
“All good questions, sweetheart. Why don’t you come in and we can talk… Yeah fella, come on in.”
Evan glared at the man, but Jade turned away from the door and went to sit at the kitchen table. Evan followed, dropping the flowers in the sink and the boxes of pastries on the table.
“What’s in the boxes?” The man said as Jade’s left hand reached out to explore the contents, before her right hand took hold of it and dragged it back in front of her. Jade looked down as she interlocked her fingers in front of her.
“I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to let you know about this situation, but things moved quite fast today.”
“OK, I’m listening…” said Evan as he sat opposite Jade.
“Well, I’ve wanted to do this body modification procedure for a while now and the opportunity came up yesterday to get it done and recoup some of the costs straight away. I decided to rent out immediately because the clinic said they had someone willing to pay well for a short term rental. Maybe I should have waited….. I didn’t know the client was one of my patients…… this is Alan Hide…Pleased to meet you..” Alan reflexively held out his hand, now Jade’s hand, to shake with Evan.
Evan instinctively shook his girlfriend’s hand for a second then broke the connection as he took in the weirdness of it all.
“So he has control of your body, Jade?”
“We have shared control and I have ultimate veto power. It’s what they call level 3.” Jade replied.
“I don’t really care what they call it. You’ve got a guys head stuck on your shoulders!
