Marcus groaned as his phone alarm blared. He felt absolutely drained even as he shut it off.

“Fuck. So tired.”

It probably wasn’t a good idea to stream Songs of Conquest until three in the morning. And now Marcus had a choice to make.

He could call in sick and hope that his boss, Pamela, would fall for it. Or he could suck it up and go to work all exhausted.
