"We're NOT doing spin the bottle again!" Becca shouted, crossing her arms. Last time, the first time she'd been invited to one of these parties, she'd gotten out first. And, well... she'd lost a good 12 hours to a certain mother of ten who used to work alongside her. Of course she wanted to rely on some sort of skill rather than just pure luck again.
"Trust me, you don't want to do beer pong with Elizabeth." Liz sighed, shuddering at how, even when she was practically bursting at the seams with Chloe, Elizabeth would drive down to Rotherham and dominate the game. Not to mention all the "great ideas" Elizabeth always came up with in her borrowed bodies...
"True. But spin the bottle is a bit... childish." Andrea chimed in, unable to avoid stealing a few glances at the potential bodies present. She had a plan for each and every one of them, thinking of nothing but victory. Although she didn't have the best luck or skill, all things considered...
"But we'll have to do teams with beer pong. Elizabeth, that-" Zoe started, sighing at the blonde's ear-to-ear smirk.
"Elizabeth European Extreme rules?" Carly guessed, getting a slow nod from Elizabeth. "If we do that, the lovebirds can't vote on the punishments."
"Fair." Elizabeth said, her smirk fading slightly. "Settled then?" Exchanging a few nods, the more experienced members broke apart their little huddle and turned to the confused first-timers. Clearing her throat, Elizabeth began explaining the rules. Well... some of them.
For starters, there were no teams. On one end of a table, there'd be red cups filled with more of Carly's tasteless concoction. Each one would have a name on it and would be "shuffled" to ensure some sense of randomness. If you threw a ball into someone's cup, without bouncing off the table, you'd win. The person who had their cup filled with the ball would lose. Simple. If you got it in your own cup, the other players (sans your significant other if you had one) would vote for a suitable punishment. Elizabeth deliberately avoided specifics, but explained that usually, a simple re-do was the most common punishment.
"Wait, one more thing." Chris said as Elizabeth finished her explanation. "You go last."
"Because I'm the best and you want me out, got it." Elizabeth said, not a hint of pride in her voice. Simply because it was true. And everyone, based on how the "experts" acted about it, knew it.
With some bickering, the full turn order was decided. Much to Victoria and Zoe's chagrin. It would be alphabetical, although with Elizabeth the exception, of course. And then it would repeat, unless you'd got a cup or your cup had been got. So, the order was: Andrea, Becca, Carly, Chris, Jade, Jake, Jordan, Liz, Paige, Reece, Victoria, Zoe, and then Elizabeth. And then repeating, of course.
No one went into any other further explanation. After all, everyone had the same experience their first time. Absolute ignorance until the first ball went inside the cup. Or until the first bottle was spun. The first dart thrown. The game changed, but the results were always the same. Even Andrea and Carly, who had the magic passed down, had one of their relatives spare the details their first time. Both shuddered remembering their first.
For Andrea, it was a bachelorette party. She had no idea why her various cousins and such were so mischievous the whole time. Until, of course, Andrea drew the shortest straw on round one.
For Carly, it was a sleepover. Last year of secondary. It was Zoe's first time too, actually. And... Andrea felt bad that she'd barred any boys from coming over. So she followed the recipe for the potion and dared the teens to a simple game of jenga. Things quickly spiraled from there.
"Zoe?" Chris asked as Andrea stood at the far end of the table, closing one eye as she sized up her targets. "Why are you so tense? It's just a party game, love."
"You'll see." Zoe whispered, gulping as Andrea loosed the ball from her hand...
