Chief Wesson sat back and rested his hands on his gut and wondered what he was going to do, the town was quiet and he needed some excitement in his job. He absentmindedly rubbed his gut trying to think of something to make things exciting when his cell phone rang. Chief Wesson dug his thick hand into his pocket and fished out his cell phone to see it was his doctor calling.
"Hey Jim, what's up?" Chief Wesson asked in his regular jovial tone.
"Hey Steve, I was wondering if you and your team would be up for helping raise some funds for the hospital this year?" Dr. Jim Holmes asked. Dr. Holmes has been Steve's doctor for the last 15 years and in those years he's gone from a family practice to being a chair on the board for Pancione General Hospital.
"Sure, what were you thinking of? Another Cop Date Auction, ride alongs or another gala?" Steve asked still absentmindedly rubbing his gut thinking about how his doctor had never given him a hard time about his weight.
"Actually.. this is going to sound way out there but do keep an open mind.." Dr. Holmes said a bit nervously.
"What is it doc, spit it out," Chief Wesson said bluntly.
"Well since it's common knowledge that quite a few of your force members tend to gain weight, I was thinking of a Weight Gain Charity Drive," Dr. Holmes finally spat out in nervous excitement.
"How would that work?" Chief Wesson said intrigued.
"Well you rope together like five officers up to gain some weight and people donate money," Dr. Holmes explained," For every, I don't know, thousand dollars donated under their name that officer has to gain a pound by the end of the year or they have to raise the remaining money."
Steve sat amused at the idea. A year to gain how ever much money people put down on his team. He also thought about what if his officers didn't make the weight gain deadline and would have to do a car wash with their shirts tied up around their chest and wearing some short shorts.
"Sounds like this could be a great plan," Chief Wesson said with a grin," How many do you need?"
"Well the more officers doing it will mean the less they have to gain, so I would suggest five or six. You're going to do it, aren't you?"
"I suppose I could, but I would have to consult my doctor about it," Chief Wesson joked.
"I will make sure to set up everyone with a nutritionist afterwards to help diet down to their previous weight," Dr. Holmes said but Chief Wesson got the feeling Dr. Holmes was a chubby chaser himself. Every check up Jim spent a lot of time measuring and checking up on Chief Wesson's belly, rolls and bulk. Chief Wesson didn't mind the admiration, in fact he loved it.
"Alright, let me fish around for some officers up for the challenge and get back to you," Chief Wesson said.
"Great, look forward to hearing from you Chief!" Dr. Holmes said and hang up.
How many officers does Chief Wesson decided to go with? The fewer the officers the more weight they will have to put on, the more officers the less weight they will have to gain?
