Richard looked at the kids with a worried expression! He knew that he had to take action and take it now!!
“Don’t worry kids. This won’t hurt a bit” Richard said as he held his children in hand.
He took a step back from the attic door and opened it.
“Mommy will know how to fix everything.” Daniel said confidently as he stared deeply at his father's body.
“But, Daddy, we want to go back to normal size!” Christy cried.
“I promise, your mom and I will make sure you are all right. Now come along. Let’s show Mommy what happened.”
“Ok, Daddy” Christy said.
The three kids were carried by their father to the kitchen where he showed off his invention to Michelle. They explained to their mother about the shrink ray and how it worked.
“Richard? Was this what your big meeting was about?” Michelle asked Richard as she stared, stunned at the sight of her tiny children.
“Down here Mom!” Daniel yelled and waved from his father's hand.
“Oh my God! Daniel?!" Michelle didn't know what to say! Her son was three inches tall and in her husband's hands!!"
"Daniel, what have you done?" She screamed at Richard. "How could you do this to our kids!"
Reaching forward, Michelle grasped her tiny son and brought him towards her chest. Reactionarily, she clutched him hard against her big cleavage. The little boy was mushed inside.
"M-momph!!" He muttered as she squeezed him tight.
“Michelle, calm down. I'm not responsible for this. You know me better than that." Richard said, pulling the two girls away from their mother. He could see she was acting hysterical with Daniel and had no idea how she'd react with all of them.
“I don't care whose fault this is! Our kids are tiny! Tiny! What do we do?!” Michelle said, tears filling her eyes as she pushed the tiny boy against her bosom.
“Calm down, Michelle. Relax. I'll explain everything. First off, I've been working on this new invention for months! I finally got all the calculations correct but there was a bit of a setback. You see, the ray may have some modifications on subjects it has downsized. Also, the results may be permanent!" he said in a calm manner.
"W-wha!!" Michelle said, so shocked she thrust the small Daniel up and out in her hand.
"W-woah!" Daniel said, red and bewildered without breath. He looked as if he was about to pass out in her hand.
"W-wait though, my dear! It isn't something that is for sure. It is possible that there may be another way!" Richard cried, his hands behind himself to keep the girls safe.
“What do you mean, Daddy?” Christy asked.
“Well, it's like this. If you allow me, I'll do a test run on you first. Then I can modify the settings to fit the rest of you.” Richard said. He could see that Michelle was calming down so he brought Christy and Alexis in front of him.
“Let's do it!” Christy said, jumping at the chance to return to normal size.
“Alright, alright. Just hold still and let me work my magic." Richard said, taking a seat at the table. Michelle put Daniel down on the table too with the other two kids as she went with Richard back to the attic. The two of them returned, carrying the still smoking shrinking machine.
Spark! Spark!
“Wait, Daddy! Don't shrink yourself!” Christy cried as she lunged for her dad a bit.
“I'm fine. Just relax and watch this." Richard said as he reached over to the machine.
“Ow!!
Another sudden blast of sparking shot out!!
