The blast of electricity shot through the machine and stuck the three children who were all now next to each other.
"Augh!!" Christy and Alexis screamed as the blast hit them and began to shrink them down even smaller!
"Cool!" Daniel said with a dopey expression as he watched his sisters and himself get smaller and smaller.
"Oh my god! Richard! What happened to our children!!" Michelle said looking at them shocked! Now instead of three inches, they were a puny eighth of an inch tall!
Richard's eye grew wide! Looking back at the machine, the smoking had gotten worse.
"Blast! I think it shorted a fuse. That chemical compound is extremely rare. We had to collide atoms together just to create it so it could shrink things. Without it, we are not going to have anyway to return the kids to their normal size!" he said exasperated.
"Awesome!" Daniel said though now he was far too tiny for his gigantic parents to hear. His sisters looked at him annoyed.
"What's wrong with you?" Alexis cried as she hit her brother's shoulder.
"Ow!! Mom!! Alexis hit me!" he cried. The two parents were oblvious. "Mom!!" Daniel said louder.
Still no answer. The kids couldn't be heard anymore because of their new tiny sizes.
"Mommy!!" Daniel yelled again, getting increasingly frustrated. "Mommy! Why aren't you answering me?!?"
With that last word, the three kids fell silent, unable to speak or move. Their bodies were frozen in fear as they watched the massive titans shift above them. All three children were helplessly trapped in their own tiny world.
"Hmm, well honey, what are we going to do?" Michelle said concerned. She bent down looking at the very small children on the table.
"I do have some options." Richard said rubbing his forehead. "We could show them to my company. Maybe someone there will have the extra components that I need to repair the machine."
Michelle scoffed.
"Richard, your company has been trying to shrink living matter for a long time now. If they see our kids, they are going to take them away! Or experiment on them!! I can't see our kids like that!!" Michelle said. Instinctively, she reached down and gently placed her fingers towards the three specks that were now her children.
"Aaaah!!" Alexis cried at the fingers that were now bigger than she was!! The massive digits came crashing down on all three kids. Christy and Alexis grunted, the big fingers gently pushing them down but heavy enough that they couldn't move.
"Yay!!" Daniel said as he grabbed onto the finger that was "massaging" him against the hard table. The fingers pushed down a little harder, instantly causing the tiny boy pain. "Ow! Ow!! Mommy!! That's too hard!!"
Daniel cried now not enjoying it either. He was once again not heard from above in the world of giants.
"What other choice do we have, Michelle?" he said defeated.
"Maybe we can. . just keep them like this forever?" Michelle asked?
She lifted her hand up, giving the three children a break and also air from getting smothered by a giant hand.
Christy got on her feet first and helped Alexis up. Daniel was stunned, bewildered, and motionless. As the eldest sister went over to help him up, she saw him looking sad. "I don't like this anymore." Daniel said, feeling very bruised and in pain.
"It's ok," Christy said as she helped her brother stand up. She felt bad seeing her brother hurting. But she knew he would be fine in due time.
"Come on, let's head upstairs. We should talk about this further by ourselves." Michelle said, grabbing her children's tiny bodies gently in her hand.
