Before you could react, you feel yourself forcefully spun around, landing face to face with the piercing hazel gaze of Indi, your fellow villager... and ex-girlfriend. Even as she stood arms crossed, furious, you had to admit something about the moonlight reflecting off her pale green hair and caramel colored skin really reminded you why you fell in love with this hot tempered fairy in the first place. Still, despite your lingering feelings, it was obvious she was in no mood to resume your romance.
"Indi, I just-," was all you managed to squeak out before your former lover lit into you.
"I don't want to hear it!" She began, her voice exuding impatience with every syllable. "Look, you wanna come down here and get yourself killed amongst these giants? Fine. Frankly, I might enjoy seeing you get stepped on or swallowed up by one of these hulking monsters. But by coming down here, you're putting your whole village at risk and I can't allow that. They find one fairy, all of a sudden everyone is going to be tearing apart this forest looking for us! is that what you want?"
As Indi's eyes stared daggers through your skull, you weighed your options. She may be overreacting; were these humans really so fairy obsessed that your discovery would really doom your whole village? Besides, as long as your careful, you shouldn't be discovered anyway...
