Mia's voice suddenly appearing behind her made Kasumi scramble to hide her precious delicacies. But this sudden spook caused Mia to become even more curious.
"M-M-Mia-chan! Heyyy~ I was just, um... doing... studying...?" Kasumi badly lied, putting on her usual cutesy voice.
"Uh huh, sure. Just show me what you have, c'mon." Mia held her hand out expectantly.
Kasumi gritted her teeth, realizing she was caught. She'd had to share her expensive chocolates with someone after all... Dejectedly, Kasumi took a chocolate from the box and placed the tiny treat in Mia's awaiting palm.
"Ha! I knew it! I could smell chocolate right when I walked in. Man I've been craving this stuff all day, and lucky me, you had some waiting for me!" Mia let out a hearty laugh, popping the chocolate in her mouth.
"It's diet choco... don't blame me if it tastes terrible..." Kasumi pouted.
Mia's eyes lit up and she put her hands on her rosy cheeks in delight. "OMG! No way, this is delicious!! You said these are for a diet? They taste better than most of the chocolate I've had in Japan so far!" The American girl squealed in ecstasy.
Kasumi looked at the piece of chocolate in her fingers. If it held up to an American girl's standards of junk food, it must be good. Getting ready to finally try it herself, Kasumi lifted up the chocolate to her mouth. But before she ate it, she noticed something strange was happening to Mia Taylor...
