Cody grabbed a towel as he started to dry himself off. Drenched on his first day of work, he really know how to make a first impression. Well it looked as though that he wasn't in any trouble for being late on his first day so there was that. He wished that he had somew spare clothes to use not wanting to continue wearing his damp clothing. After drying himself off as best as possible he headed out of the locker room. He wasn't sure who was supposed to train him. Maybe he was supposed to return to Ajax when he was done.
"Welcome to Atlas' Weight Mr. Long."
Cody heard a soft voice speak up as he left the locker rooming turning around, seeing only a soft of auburn hair in his vision below him. Cody tilted his head down to see a small woman. She had to be 5'5" at the most. She lad long auburn hair and brown eyes. She wore a flowy yellow dress that was being restrained under her apron. As the two of them locked their gaze on each other the small woman smiled. "Hello I'm Milly I'll be helping you train to bus tables."
"Oh pleasure to meet you Milly." Cody said smiling to be polite.
Milly giggled. "Alright come with me." Milly then lead Cody around the restaurant. Cody took in the sight it was a luxurious restaurant. The ceiling was pretty with elegant decorations hanging upon on them. Chandeliers shed bright light that was reflected by crystal decorations created a dazzling display. A large clock hung from the wall, that could be easily seen from any point of the resturant it seemed arachic and use roman numerals instead of the more common Arabic numerals. There were small statues placed at each booth. Big enough to seem like an egoistical paperweight. A huge aquarium was placed in the middle of the restaurant that had a healthy coral habitat and colorful fish swirling around it. There was even a small man made waterfall at the front desk of the restaurant, the running water making a soft and soothing babbling sound. This was a pretty high class place, no wonder it paid so well.
It was only 9 a.m. so tables weren't needing to be bussed yet. Milly was mostly showing Cody around the restaurant. She then guided him over to the kitchen as he saw the staff getting ready for the work day gathering supplies turning the appliances on for when people would start entering the restaurant. Milly told him where his station would be, how to hold and travel with the tableware, and when to bring the tableware when customers were down with their meal.
Overall Cody thought the work wouldn't be too bad. Everything seemed straight forward so far. All he would be doing is setting the tables and taking the dishes back to the kitchen when customers were done.
Milly made sure that Cody did some mock bussing to make sure that he got the hang of it. Cody struggled carrying so many dishes but soon got the hang of it. It helped that Milly was so supportive, as she cheered Cody on.
"Nice work you're doing a great job so far!" Milly beamed.
Cody scratched the back of his head. "Thanks, man I never knew how slow I was setting tables till I saw you do it." Cody said.
Milly giggled. "Years of practice, you'll get the hang of it soon." Suddenly a loud bong was heard as Cody and Milly looked up at the clock to see that it was now 10 a.m. as ten bongs rang out. "Oh it's 10 a.m. the restaurant is opened. Let's head back to the kitchen." Milly said as she lead Cody back to the kitchen to get ready for the work day.
Cody was feeling a little nervous with it being his first work day. He hoped it wouldn't mess up.
