"Well, I was trying to know you better, but if you act like that." You turn away from Devin hoping he doesn't see you snickering. Lucky for you, he only seems confused by your act and returns his attention to the phone in his hand.
It makes you realize you need to be more careful around the people you know. It's easy to act like yourself, but that might only give yourself away.
"Quiet please class." The door closes behind Ms. Anderson as everyone gets to their seats and open their textbooks. "Why Ms. Harris? You seem to forget your place is up front here." Ms. Anderson points to the seat in front of the teachers desk. "Sorry." You mumble as you make your way up front feeling everyone's staring at you. You quickly open your book and try to make notes the way Jessica does which is way more detailed than you are used to.
You feel relieved when the bell rings signaling class is over. You gather your stuff and are about to leave the classroom, when a voice rangs out to you.
