For a moment, the thought of using this rare opportunity to search the Fortress of Solitude unattended crossed Bruce’s mind. But he soon dismissed it, even with his paranoia and need for preparation and intel, he was also practical enough to not explore an unknown alien structure alone. Especially since she’s already had more than enough exposure to Kryptonian technology for her liking.
So, she decided to respect Clark’s privacy and stay put in the waiting room while the Man of Steel consulted with Jor-El. This came her time to mull over her own thoughts of the chaotic recent events.
“Kara… Clark Kent’s cousin. Hm.”
She mused over the concept idly in her mind as she waited. Clark was amongst the first, and even now still small group, whom Bruce genuinely considered a close friend. But to be family to him, even if only technically and solely by genetics, was something the former Batman was unsure of how she felt.
Someone else would have to take how her old cowl, at least if the change would take time to undo or was even permanent, Gotham needed its symbol of terror to keep the criminals afraid. A large part of her wanted to find a way to continue to protect Gotham regardless of her form, but the practical side knew that untrained meta-abilities would be potentially devastating and so it would be wiser to follow Clark’s lead.
Time passed and Bruce could do little but practice floating through the waiting room, hoping Clark would return soon.
