The light dimmed. The dial gone. Jason frowned. What the hell was that all about?
"Brother Eye, what just-"
Jason's eyes shot open. He grabbed his throat. What was wrong with his voice? He touched his cheek with his now bare hand. Where was his mask? His helmet? Silver gauntlets on his wrists. He tried to move the dark hair that kept falling in front of his eyes out of the way. He'd never let his hair get that long before. And why were his fingernails manicured...?
"Eye? Eye!"
The more he heard his own voice, the more he had to face the fact that he wasn't quite himself. Looking down, he gasped. Two orbs of flesh rested on his chest nestled in the tight black and silver outfit he wore. He wrapped his hands around them, squeezing them and moving them around. To his horror, they were all too real. He felt every last movement and touch. The newfound sensitivity of his breasts sent signals to his brain he didn't understand.
"Am I a...."
He tugged at the fabric of his new black costume. He ran his hands down his body, taking in the curves he now possessed. His palm glazed his crotch just slightly. He didn't feel anything down there. His worst fear had been realized. Whatever that dial did to him, it made him a chick?!
Frantically, she looked for his reflection in a nearby window. She froze when she saw a girl standing there with a surprised look on her face. She didn't recognize the costume easily at first since she was the one wearing it. The girl wore a black suit that clung tightly to her body. She had marigold skin and fiery eyes with dark purple hair. A silver crown rested on her head.
Jason reached out and touched her hand against the glass. The reflection did the same. This only confirmed what she was afraid of.
The former Red Hood immediately recognized the woman as Komand'r, better known as Blackfire. Starfire's evil sister from Tamaran. Aliens weren't her forte but she encountered Blackfire a handful of times when she ran with the Titans. She was a brutal tyrant hellbent on becoming the Queen of Tamaran.
She stood there in disbelief that she had somehow become a different person, let alone a bad alien woman.
"The dial!"
It hit her like a runaway train. The dial must have done this to her. Dammit, why didn't she listen to Brother Eye? It tried to warn her.
Jason scoured the rooftop, finding nothing.
"What, did it vanish? It was just right here!"
Jason groaned in her new feminine tone, facepalming.
"I swear, I'll never second guess Eye ever again. Just lemme find that damn dial..."
She pondered what might happen to her if she failed to change back. It would be near impossible to get anyone to believe she was who she said she was. She couldn't go to the Titans. They'd likely think it was just another one of Blackfire's tricks.
Bruce might believe her but the Batcave was on the other side of town and she was in the body of one of A.R.G.U.S. most wanted alien super-criminals.
Suddenly, her gauntlet vibrated.
She looked down at her wrist, seeing a hologram appear.
