Tim saw the symbol of Darkseid. One of Justice League’s most dangerous enemies.
“Batman? I... I found something. Hello?”
His communications were scrambled. Tim knew he probably shouldn’t go any further to this mysterious and likely sinister device. His curiosity bested him though. He stepped towards the machine, carefully placing a hand against the colossal cube shaped metallic structure.
As soon as he made physical contact with it, he felt himself being pulled in. His very body phasing through the metal wall. Tim stumbled and regained his balance. He wasn’t in the sewer anymore, that was for sure. He looked behind him and there was no door or even a metallic wall. He had somehow been transported to a hellish planet with parademons taking to the skies.
Tim recognized this world from the Justice League reports as Apokolips. The home universe of Darkseid and his minions. He used Apokolips as a vantage point to terrorize the worlds of the multiverse. Darkseid had killed countless alternate versions of the Justice League and other heroes alike.
Tim swallowed hard as the realization set in. He was there all alone with no visible way back and no way to contact Batman.
Suddenly, two parademons yanked Tim off his feet, one grabbing each arm. He tried to fight them but getting dropped at this height without anything to grapple hook onto wouldn’t be the wisest choice.
Tim was brought before Darkseid and placed on his knees.
“Bow in reverence before the great one!” One of the parademons snarled.
“I bow to no one...”
The parademon prepared to rip his throat out with its razor sharp claws.
“Wait.”
It froze in place. All the parademons dropped, bowing to their leader. Darkseid loomed over the boy wonder with his arms behind his back. His piercing eyes glowing a fiery red.
“I have plans for this human,” he referred to Tim like “human” was a disgusting word.
“We will use him to destroy the Batman, crippling his world and paving the way for invasion.”
