"I...." I hesitate for a second. The logical side in me says that more tests should be made on the inverter before using it on myself. However my adventurous self just wants to go for it. I have always wondered what it would be like to be tiny. Plus I wouldn't mind being in the hands of Rachel. Finally I say, "Okay, let's do it."
Rachel claps her hands excitedly as I walk to the center of the room. She turns the dials and points the inverter at me. "Ready?" I nod and she presses the engage button. The red beam shoots out and hits me in the chest. A strange, but not unpleasant tingling feeling comes over me. Then I began to rapidly shrink.
Once I stop shrinking, I grin, it had worked without any adverse affects. Rachel's two huge converse came towards me. She bends down and gently pinches between her thumb and forefinger. I notice the sweet smell of Rachel's lavender lotion she always wears as she places me in her palm. She grins back at me as she raises me up. "You are sooo cute at this size. How do you feel?"
"Pretty good actually," I respond with an embarrassed laugh. "This is actually really cool, ever since seeing Honey We Shrunk Ourselves I have wanted to see what it would be like to be tiny."
Rachel gently touches me with her finger, marveling at my small size. "I know this probably is going to sound weird, but I have always thought it would be fun to have a tiny guy to keep in my pocket."
I blush. "No, I don't think you are weird. What do you say I be your pet for the day and stay tiny?"
"Really?! You want to stay one inch tall for the day," Rachel smiles.
"Sure, I think it will be fun. So what did you have in mind to do with your tiny guy?" I ask playfully. "Are you more of a gentle giantess or one that smashes villages just for fun?"
"You'll just have to see," she teases, sticking her tongue out. "I was thinking....
