Chapter #3

Truth or Dare

My phone vibrates, and I look down to see a text from Megan: 'Want 2 hang? Maddie and I have the place to ourselves.'

'Sure!' I respond.

Another text comes, 'Gr8! Wear your swimsuit. We're outback.'

I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth before changing into my electric blue swim trunks. The exercise I have been doing has paid off. My muscles are more defined, so I no longer have the scrawny white kid look. Hopefully, Megan will notice. I purposely pull my swimsuit low on my hips so that my butt is just barely covered. After slathering on suntan lotion, I grab my towel and phone. I hesitate for a minute before grabbing the shrink ray. I want to show it to Megan and Maddie; I think they would think that it is cool.

Since the twins just live next door, I go into my backyard and climb over the fence. I land like a cat on the other side. Maddie and Megan are sitting on the blow-up raft, which usually resides in their pool when it is not at the lake. They are wearing matching pink bikinis that show off their slender bodies. The twins are the type of girls who can eat as much as they like and still be stick thin. "Hi, girls!" I greet them.

"Hey," responds Megan, "We ordered pizza. I hope that sounds good."

"That sounds perfect," I say as I set my stuff down. I leave the shrink ray under my towel, deciding to show them later. The raft is just big enough for three people so I careful hop on. Maddie is holding two jars between her legs. "What are those?" I ask.

She holds them up so I can see the sticker letters on the front. One says truth; the other says dare. "What to play? We printed off a bunch of questions and, dares from the internet."

"Sure," I grin, "I think the last time we played this, we were in elementary school."

"Well fair warning, some of these questions are 13+, so it will not quite be like elementary school," says Megan mischievously. "You first. Truth or dare?"

You have the following choices:

1. Truth

2. Dare
