"Maddie, I dare you to shrink Josh's car," Megan commands.
"What?! No," exclaims Maddie, "What if something happens to it? He would kill me."
"Oh, come on, he is out of town. Josh will never know. Don't be a baby," teases Megan.
"Fine, but if anything happens to it, I am blaming you." Maddie grabs the remote from me and we all walk into their garage. Josh drives a souped up Subaru Impala. It is a dark blue color with black finishings. His car also has a small fin on the back, making it look like it belongs in a racing video game. Maddie hesitates for a minute, clearly torn between wanting to try out the shrink ray and concern that Josh's car will get destroyed.
At her sister's encouragement, Maddie pulls the trigger. The beam of light shoots out and hits the car. It rapidly begins shrinking. Soon it is the size of a Hot Wheels car. Megan walks over to the tiny car and prods it with her toe. "This shrink ray is awesome. Just think of all the pranks you could play on phone. Also you would never have to worry about paying for parking again."
She bends down and picks up Josh's shrunk car. Megan examines it with interest. "This totally looks like it belongs in some kids Hot Wheels set," she states. "It is amazing that all the details have been persevered. I can just make out the license plate number."
Maddie walks over to look at it too. "Can you imagine how Josh would react if he found his car like this?" she smirks. "He would totally flip out . Then again maybe we could shrink him so he could fit in his car." Maddie grabs the car and sits on the ground. She rolls it around as though it is a toy. Then Maddie pushes the shrunken car to me. It hits my bare foot."I dare you to stick it in your mouth."
"Why?" I ask bemused.
"Why not?" She grins. "You will be the only person who can say that they put a real live car in their mouth." I shrug as I pick it up. The car just just barely fits between my lips as I set it on my tongue. I can taste the rubber of the tires, mixed with a nasty metal taste. A few seconds later I pull the tiny car out of my mouth. It is dripping with saliva, so I carefully wipe it clean on my shirt while I try and get the taste out of my mouth. Both Maddie and Megan give me a high five. "Dude, I can't believe you actually did it," exclaims Maddie
"Okay, my turn," says Megan. "I am going to do a dare.
