Jake decided to go into the makeup shop, figuring that the girls who had cast the spell might be inside. As he walked in, he was immediately greeted by an employee, a bubbly young woman with brightly colored hair.
"Hi there! Can I help you find something?" the employee asked with a friendly smile.
Jake hesitated, feeling awkward and out of place. "Uh, no thanks," he said, trying to sound casual. "I'm just looking around."
The employee's smile didn't falter. "Well, if you change your mind, let me know! We have some amazing new products that I'd love to show you."
Jake nodded, trying to back away towards the door. "Thanks, but I'm good."
The employee's smile faded slightly, and she looked at Jake with a bit of concern. "Is everything okay? You seem a bit uncomfortable."
Jake sighed, feeling a sense of frustration and helplessness wash over him. He didn't know how to explain his situation without sounding crazy, and he wasn't sure how to get out of the store without offending the employee.
"I'm fine," he said, trying to keep his voice light. "I just don't really wear makeup."
The employee looked skeptical. "Well, if you ever want to try it out, I'd be happy to do your makeup for you! It's on the house."
Jake shook his head, feeling a mix of gratitude and embarrassment. "Thanks, but I really can't. I have to go."
The employee looked disappointed, but she didn't give up easily. "Oh come on, it'll be fun! I promise you'll love it. And it's on the house, so you have nothing to lose."
Jake hesitated, feeling torn. He really didn't want to put on makeup, especially not in this strange and unfamiliar body. But he also didn't want to be rude or ungrateful.
"Well, I don't know..." he said, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
The employee beamed, sensing that she was making progress. "Great! Let's get started. First, we'll start with some foundation to even out your skin tone."
Jake watched as the employee applied the foundation to his face, using a sponge to blend it in. He had never worn makeup before, and he wasn't sure what to think.
"Now, we'll add a bit of concealer under your eyes to cover up any dark circles," the employee said, dabbing the concealer onto Jake's skin.
Jake winced, feeling a bit self-conscious. He had always been confident and self-assured, but now he felt exposed and vulnerable. He wasn't sure if he liked the way the makeup was making him look.
"Don't worry, you're doing great!" the employee said, sensing Jake's hesitation. "Now, let's add some color to your cheeks with a bit of blush."
Jake watched as the employee applied the blush to his cheeks, using a brush to blend it in. He couldn't help but feel a bit silly, standing in front of a mirror with a woman applying makeup to his face. But he also couldn't deny that the makeup was making him look more polished and put-together.
"And finally, we'll add a bit of mascara to your eyelashes to give them some volume and definition," the employee said, applying the mascara to Jake's lashes.
Jake looked at himself in the mirror, feeling a bit overwhelmed. He had never worn makeup before, and he wasn't sure if he liked the way it looked on him. He felt like a completely different person, and he wasn't sure if he was ready for the change.
"So, what do you think?" the employee asked, looking at Jake with a hopeful smile.
Jake took a deep breath, trying to be honest. "I don't know. It's a bit... much."
The employee's smile faded a bit. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overdo it. Do you want me to take it off?"
Jake shook his head, feeling guilty. "No, it's okay. I just need to get used to it. Thanks for your help."
The employee smiled, relieved. "No problem. I'm happy to help. And if you ever want to try something different, just let me know. I'm here every day!"
Jake nodded, feeling a mix of gratitude and anxiety. He wasn't sure if he would ever want to wear makeup again, but he was grateful to the employee for her kindness and help. He just hoped that the makeup would help him find the girls who had cast the spell, and that he would be able to break it and get back to normal.
