You just got home for summer vacation, you just finished a project that has been worked on for the past couple of years. A shrink ray! You still need to process some parts of it but it works properly and protects those who are shrunk. You even implemented a fail safe to grow no matter what. You have the ray stored in a case which keeps it protected and charged. You enter your house and head upstairs to your room to take all your stuff in. Your siblings are gone so you have time to get evening inside and tweak the ray somewhat.
You greet your family when they get home and setup your computer to start making sure there's no issues with the ray. You've already tested all of the capabilities using people at school as either test subjects or vessels to enter. The world is yours to explore after a couples of weeks the ray is ready to use again.
Quick addition, I want to add some names to make everything consistent from here:
Sister: Ava (age 10)
Brother: Kyle (age 18)
Brothers girlfriend: Mia (age 18)
9 year old cousin: Sophia
7 year old cousin: Ella
Cousins older sister: Bella (age 19)
Girlfriend: Zoey (age 20)
College friend: Claire (age 21)
The features I mentioned earlier can be used or add whatever you want. Just stay consistent.
