This choice: Your choice is made for you. • Go Back... You have wondered too far from the pillary you were using to stabilize yourself. The bus comes to a stop and you loose your footing, tumbling forward and coming to a stop near the shoes of the two 12 year old boys sitting in the seat above you. For a few seconds you are so terrified you cannot even move, but you decide you need to assess your situation if you are to survive.
The boy closest to the window is wearing an extremely tattered pair of slip-on Vans. They were very dirty, but you guessed they were probably white when they were new. There was a ring of mud around the outsoles, which meant he must have stepped in a mud puddle on his way to the bus stop. His legs were slender, but muscular and tanned from skating all summer long before school started a few weeks ago. On his right ankle was an anklet in the school's colors, red and black, made from two pieces of thick string woven together. His feet were very restless. When he wasn't tapping his feet, he was slipping his sockless bare feet in and out of his Vans. When he slips his feet out, he reveals silky smoth feet, at the ends of which are ten long, perfectly proportioned toes, with surprisingly well-maintained toenails. Unfortunately, his feet didn't smell nearly as nice as they looked. Every time he removes his shoes, the stench of rancid foot sweat pervades your senses
The boy closest to the aisle was also wearing shorts and had tanned legs, but they were thicker and more muscular, and there was alot more hair. You guessed this boy must be at least a year older, and probably farther along the road to manhood. This boy was wearing a pair of etnies skate shoes, which were solid black except for an intricate green pattern on the fabric around his heel. This boy moves his feet much less than his slightly younger friend. The only movement is the slight bobbing of his heel. You can see that he is wearing black ankle socks, because a small amount of the black fabric peaks out over the tops of his sneakers.
You can hear the boys are busy discussing all the things that make boys their age happy. Video games and skateboarding are the topics of choice, with an occasional mention of nerf guns. As their conversation goes on, you hear that the boy near the window, with the white vans, is named Logan, and the boy near the aisle with the black Etnies is named Hunter.
You decide they sound innocent enough that they are likely to give you help, but you have to decide which boy you want to approach first.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
