Jaxson looks longingly at his card. He has waited an additional 5 years to finally become a Pokémon trainer, and now his quest is within his grasp. "After you go home to explain your journey to your parents, come to Pallet Town tomorrow. There you will receive your first Pokémon." Oak states. The school bell then rings, and the students rush out of the building. Jaxson waits outside. Looking for his friend Ash. He is so focused on this endeavor that he didn't notice someone until they poke his shoulder.
"Oh, I thought you would already be out her-" Jaxson stops once he turns to look at the person who poked him. "Sorry to disappoint, I normally don't resemble a trash trainer." Jaxson regresses a groin as he knows who Gray is referring to, Ash. Ash and Gary have been rivals since birth and while Jaxson normally don't hang around with people on the slower side, Gary is a narcissistic jackass while Ash is a kind-hearted idiot. "Hi Jaxson" Ash says. Speak of the devil. "Ash, how does it feel to be an official Pokémon trainer?" "Exciting, I can't wait to travel the world with Pokémon by my side. How about you, how do you feel?" "Relived, or something like that. Still, can't wait to get a Pokémon."
"Ha, even if you do get a Pokémon, I guarantee mine will be stronger than yours." Gary says. "That won't happen!" Ash states. "You want to bet on it?" "Wait back up, what do you meant by "even if you do get a Pokémon"?" Jaxson asks. "Haha, you'll see. Best be on time tomorrow." "Yeah, well, we will be there." Gary stares Ash dead in the face and grins "Sure you will." Gary then turns around with an arm in the air and says, "Smell you later losers." Gary walks down the steps and onto the road towards Pallet Town. Ash and Jaxson walk in the same direction but at a slower pace. The sun starts to set as they move though Route One. " What will be your first catch?" Jaxson asks. Ash looks around. He sees a brown bird in a tree. "Perhaps a bird, you?" Jaxson thinks for a moment. "A dragon" "Really, how?" Jaxson smiles. "One can hope." "Then I want to catch a Legendary." "Keep dreaming big, it might happen."
Jaxson and Ash cross the bridge when Jaxson hears something. "Ash, go on home, I will see you tomorrow." "Oh, alright, bye Jaxson!" Ash continues his walk while Jaxson looks at the grass around the path home. Does he see something?
