"I believe we're testing the prototype for the Mamabot 4.0 today."
Your eyes widened.
"The Mamabot? You mean the stupid excuse for a robot nanna that almost strangled me last time?"
"Shhh," Brenda said, reaching back and placing a finger over your lips. You fumed at the action, but said nothing.
"You know Corporate doesn't want that getting out," Brenda said after a moment, "They're very confident that this robot will be the future of motherhood. Besides, this is the 4.0. They've made a lot of improvements, I've been told."
"Well, I'd better at least be getting paid more this time."
The car pulled up to the testing lab, and you awkwardly unbuckled yourself from the seat, walking in behind Brenda.
Inside was a fairly-sized rendition of a house, complete with every room in a standard home, and stocked as if people were living there as well. Cameras were rigged up in the corner of each room. You nodded at the sight, slightly impressed at the testing grounds.
The creator of the Mamabot, who you vaguely remembered from before, was waiting to greet you, along with an assistant and a few other workers. Dr. Geller was a shorter Korean women with long, luscious hair and a bosom practically bursting through her buttoned top. She was beautiful in a sort of girl next door way, and only a couple of years older than you.
"Brenda! Sam!" Dr. Geller said brightly, "Glad you could make it."
You exchanged greetings, and then Dr. Geller began to explain the tests.
"We've upgraded the Mamabot's emotional capacity, particularly in the compassion category, so that her only desire is to take care and protect the baby. We've also upgraded her ability to detect danger and given her efficient yet safe ways to keep the baby safe. We just want to test out these capabilities today."
"Sounds great," Brenda said, "Shall we begin?"
You nodded in agreement. It sounded fairly straightforward. You would test all of Mamabot's features, and then see how she would protect a "baby", in this case you, if they put themselves in a dangerous position.
"First, you should meet Mama," Dr. Geller said proudly.
She gestured to the house, and walking into the living room, you saw...
