As you wonder what could be causing Sarah's growth, a slight movement in some nearby bushes catches your eyes. You walk towards it, finding your neighbor's cat pawing at something on the ground. The cat looks up at you and scampers away fearfully as you approach.
Cats, you thing to yourself with a shrug. What was it doing back here? Then you remember it was playing with something and turn your attention back towards the ground. Oddly, you see something that looks like an ordinary water pistol and you pick it up. There are two buttons on the top, a red one labelled "S" and a green one, labelled "G." The green one is pushed down.
You press the red one down and the green button pops up. Curiously, you push the green button down and the red one pops up. What this may be, you have no idea. Naturally, you decide to test it. You hold down the trigger and fire at a leaf on the ground and to your utter amazement, it begins to grow! You let go and the leaf stops, but you can't help notice that it is now several inches bigger in both height and width.
You push the red button and aim at the leaf again. This time, as you had guessed, it starts to shrink back down. You let go and the leaf stops shrinking and is blown away in a small breeze.
So, it appears as though you've stumbled across a Shrink/Growth Ray. The green "G" button is for growth and the red "S" is for Shrink. That cat must have been swiping at the trigger and accidentally hit Sarah, causing her to grow! Now that you've found this, you wonder where it came from.
Turning back towards your sister, she gives you an odd look. "What was it?" she asks you.
"Just a cat," you reply, but as you do, you hold down the trigger for an instant behind your back. Without any visible beam hitting her, Sarah suddenly goes from nose height to being just as tall as you, which is several inches taller than what she was.
"Yeah, I've seen the cat around our yard lately," she frowns. "She hasn't even realized she's grown! You can't resist causing her to grow even further, until you're nose height on her ! You wonder how tall you could make her, without her realizing it...
