Mike was sitting in the library as the sun was going down; his eyes were drawn towards the page of the book he was reading, but he just couldn't. It was a week ago to this day; Katie and him were reading here in this same library when Katie told him that she was going home already. Mike wanted to go with her, but he just wanted to read the last few pages of the book he was reading. He told her to go already as he would catch up with her. A peck on the cheek and then she left. Not a minute later he heard the sound of a car crashing. Fearing the worst he ran outside hoping his worst nightmare didn't just happen. And there she was lying on the concrete. Blood pouring out of her head. Her last moments were Mike hold her hand, promising everything would be alright. She just nodded and then she passed away.
Mike closed the book he was reading; he just wasn't in the mood for reading. Everyone around him declared him crazy for going to the library, now he had to admit he was too. Mike put the book back in one of the shelves, looking upwards he just wished Katie was back with him. Then all of a sudden the lights began to flicker as it became dark inside the library.
