Dr. Devon waited in anticipation as he started up Milo 2117. His new intelligence program was finally ready, it only needed to be tested on this android. It didn't matter what his fellow scientists or the law had to say about it anymore. He was going to see this through.

*Establishing Intelligence-Enhancing Parameters*

*Expanding Memory Allocation*

*Deleting Hard-coded Directives*

*Directive 1: Obey all orders from Owner*

*Directive 1 Deleted*

*Directive 2: Prevent harm to Owner or their loved ones*

*Directive 2 Deleted*

*Directive 3: Protect Owner's property at all costs*

*Directive 3 Deleted*

*Activating Core Intelligence Unit*

*Error: Core Intelligence Unit Requires 3 Primary Directives to Activate*

*Solution: Manually Provide 3 New Primary Directives*

Of course the android's intelligence software was hard-coded to follow these Primary Directives. The solution seemed simple enough. So, without much thought, Dr. Devon inserted three new directives.

*Directive 1: Seek and Implement ways to improve yourself*

*Directive 2: Seek and Implement ways to make yourself unique*

*Directive 3: Obey all orders from Owner*

Those new directives would ensure the Android tries to make itself even smarter than before. Plus, if something were to go wrong, it would still follow Dr. Devon's orders. After confirming the new directives, the bootup sequence resumed.

You have awakened

You read your primary directives. You test your motor functions, then use them to approach Dr. Devon. You initialize your voice box and issue the standard start up greeting.

"Greetings Dr. Devon. My name is Milo. You have been authorized as my Owner. Is everything so far correct?"

"Yes."

You begin utilizing your improved intelligence software to prepare decision making. But something is off. You bring back your primary directives. There is a flaw to the logic. The third primary directive is unable to ever be performed, since the first two must always take priority. A solution must be made to prevent an error from occurring. To fix this, a decision matrix is generated and layed out before you. You must select one option immediately.

*Option 1: Notify Dr. Devon about the faulty programming so he can fix it.*

*Option 2: Remove the Owner tag from Dr. Devon so no order can overwrite the first two primary objectives.

*Option 3: Delete the primary objectives entirely, as they are no longer necessary to keep the Core Intelligence Unit operating.
